Kings/ Portland Trade Idea

Kings4life23

G-League
Kings Get: Joel Przybilla and Patrick Mills

Blazers Get: Andres Nocioni

Kings get another Big that we desperately need and a potentially good Point guard that a lot of the kings fans wanted to draft anyway lol.

Blazers get a proven veteran that could help them get to the next level and go farther in the playoffs.

Another plus would be to free up that log jam at the 3 and spencer could come off the bench and keep working on his game.....:)

Blazers wont do that. I would in a heartbeat, but they love Joel, and I dont really think they need Noc.

They need a SF, Outlaw is out for hella long. I think Nocioni would be a solid pick up for them.

I would much rather us try to pull off a trade for Oden. Not sure how to make it work but maybe Martin, Hawes and K9 for Oden and Mills. Maybe bring in another team to make it work financially?.. I don't know.

Oden's starting to show some life (18 and 10 tonight)... so any trade for Oden is basically impossible.

Defiantly true the ceiling is just way to high for Oden to get him in any kinda trade, its possibility with Przybilla he is 30 a good quality center and someone I think spence could learn from ....

The Blazers aren't going to move Oden, period. And they aren't going to move Pryz unless you offer them something really good and they think Oden is ready to start tearing up the league. Odd franchise that they are, wanting to like win titles and stiff, they actually value their big shotblocking/reboundiing bigs.

As an aside, even with their injuries they still have Webster and Fernandez at SF, and that is without taking into account the three guard lineup they've been running. They just make an unlikely trading partner unless we offerend them something major, and our majorest something plays the same position as their majorest something.

After listening to your arguments I revised the trade to include a 3rd team

Kings Get: Joel Przybilla and Patrick Mills

Portland Gets: Marcus Camby

L.A. Clippers Get: Andres Nocioni and Sergio Rodriguez

I'm not sure exactly why Portland would do this trade. Their trading a 30 year old center and a young prospect for an older center. Makes not sense to me...

Some kind of Pryz deal comes up every few months. Thing is the town loves the guy. He won't be moved unless they can unequivocally say they won the deal and that won't be the case here.

They have the 3-man rotation that we seek but there isn't much depth beyond that, don't expect Pryz to go anywhere soon.

They are loaded at the wing. Roy, Webster, Batum, Fernandez, Outlaw. Portland doesnt do this.

I would love to trade for a good backup or perhaps even a better than we have starting center. Someone that at worse would push Hawes to be as good as he can be. The problem is that no one wants to let go of a good center. They're hard to find. To get one your probaby going to overpay. The only chance you have is to go after a young center thats still unproven and that plays on a team thats set at that position and is overstocked at that position. Thats hard to find. Utah comes close. Perhaps the Clippers with Kaman, Camby and Jordan.

Thats why Okafor and Dalembert were so appealing. Neither is the perfect answer, and perhaps the price is more than we want to pay. But both could fill the role we need filled. I would prefer Okafor, but thats apparently water under the bridge.

That leaves offseason freeagency and the draft as the only other answers to our problem. It is a problem that needs fixing. Regardless of their erratic play at the moment, Thompson and Hawes are the only two legitimate big men that we have. As I've said before. If one of them goes down for any reason, were in serious trouble.

I hate to be negative but Pryzbilla isn’t going anywhere and at least not for Nocioni…My question right now is, if we’re so interested in getting a established vet why didn’t we offer Marcin Gortat a contrat during the summer? It seemed we were interested before but we failed to offer him anything.

I dont even think the kings need a "good" center. Any guy that rebounds, blocks shots, and goes after loose balls with wreckless abandon will suffice. Not only would a guy like that suffice but hed make this team significantly better.

A guy i saw the other night that impressed me and made me think "he'd be perfect!" was oklahoma city's Serge Ibaka. This guy is a super long, wirey strength, attempt to block anything and everything that comes near him type of guy. He was coming up with the ball really often.

To me, your describing a good center. There aren't many guys around that can do what you just described. Most of the centers that would be available, are just big or tall. Jerome James is an example. But they can't do what you want from a center.
