This is why it’s hard to like this guy. He could have easily say, our bad, we’ll do better next game but he has to go and say if you wanna switch place then be my guest
Do you really want these guys to tell you what you wanna hear even if they don’t believe in it, versus telling you the truth as they see it?
Me, I’ll always lean hard into the latter even if the result is that I don’t like their answer or their reasoning. At least it’s the truth, from their POV.
And I gotta ask, how can it really be hard to at least respect someone, even if you don’t agree with or like the person, for being honest and true to themself no matter what? Isn’t that what this whole acceptance and inclusion ideology is all about? Accepting people for who they are even if it’s not our own cup of tea or a path we’d choose ourself?
I don’t agree with Kyrie Irving on a lot of things. But I fully support his right to express himself and say what he believes and more so I appreciate his candor. Especially when these guys are forced to sit in an interview room and answer rapid fire questions every night.
