It's obviously scheme related. That funny youtube vid was actually quite descriptive in much of what the Kings do on 3's and pick and roll defense. Over help has been an issue from day 1.

And the Pistons aren't the deepest team, it just pretty frightening to see the team come out like this. This looks like they've tuned out.
