Greetings, fellow Kings fans!

Whew. I can't be the only one who breathed more than an audible sigh of relief when the x-ray results were negative and Martin was able to return to the court. The brief period of time when we didn't know the possible extent of the "turnip" (I'm resorting to the use of that word instead of the I----- word) to Martin's finger was enough to cause panic in the hearts of Kings fans all over the country - and even the world.

But, one has to wonder. For the first time in recent memory, what we thought was a "turnip" turned out to be nothing of consequence. Could this be a sign of a change of luck for us hapless Kings fans? Only time will tell, but just the joy of seeing him return to the court tonight was a step in the right direction.

This could be an interesting game tonight. I feel sorry for Pacer fans - the drama they're having to live through is worse than anything we've had to deal with. And it just never seems to stop. I'm going to have to suggest that they consider the use of the toilet paper roll holder player facsimile to use as a sacrifice to the Great God Naismith.

Anyway, let's get ready for some Kings basketball!!!

Early games just throw my whole day off track. But this is one game I've really been looking forward to. I have a lot of respect for the Indiana Pacers fans. It seems as though our fortunes have paralleled each other's more often than not... and we do have the agony of Ron Artest with which to commiserate. And yes, to me watching Ron Artest on our team ha become an agonizing chore. I want him gone and I want to see John Salmons and Francisco get the opportunity to fill his shoes. I'm beyond tired of the drama and the chaos that is part and parcel of having Ron Artest on your team.

According to various posts in other threads, Artest threw a punch at Jason Maxiell last night in addition to having a verbal meltdown over a perceived insult from Mike Bibby. That HAS TO STOP. Let some other team deal with him. Trade him away or do whatever it takes to remove him from the Kings. His presence is just too big a price to pay.

/rant over

No Jermaine O'Neal tonight as he's out for at least a couple of weeks.
