Kings on the "under-the-radar" team

CBO

Prospect
I came across this question and answer in today's ESPN chat (see below). Needless to say, I was intrigued and wanted to find out who the "other King" flying under the radar was. Well...it's an insider article. I understand it is against the rules to post insider articles, but could someone just post the parts about Omri and the "other King?" If not, then...who is the other King?

I'm guessing Beno.

Q:
Is Omri Casspi a budding star? He's far outperformed the expectations for him and seems to be getting better every game.

A: Could be. The one thing to keep in mind is that there's no way he shoots in the high 40s on 3s all year. But Casspi offers a good chance for self-promotion here -- my column today on under-the-radar performances mentions him and one other King.

Also...why can't Omri keep shooting in the high 40s from 3? I know it's unlikely, but "no way" seems a bit absolute.

Just checked out the article on ESPN. And just as you guessed, Beno is the other king on the list.

Because teams are going to start playing him for the shot and changing there defense for him. Just like they started to play tyreke for the drive. But the problem with playin Omri for the shot is it will open up lanes for Reke to drive into and cause havoc. Add martin to that mix and nobody on the other team should have the nerve to double off of Omri or Martin. IMO I think Omri can still shoot in the 40's from 3 point land. Its more likely that he will shoot around 40-43 % tho once teams zone in on him. But Omri has proven everyone wrong with his skills so far so who knows?

Yup...that's was my thinking. Sure there will be added attention now that the league has taken notice, but you can't really give him more attention when you have Reke and KMart (and hopefully some other guys too) doing their thing.

Sure, high 40s is unlikely, but not impossible.

Fun time to be a Kings fan!:)
