Kings on the road

For some reason the Kings play better or more foccussed to me on the road, look at the Houston game on friday that went into OT. They stole that one, granted they gave 111 to the rockets, but they played foccussed. Then you look at this game in Minny, shorthanded and we win by 10 on the road-thats just amazing. The Kings at home look too comfortable with leads & the crowd behind them, we go through stretches where we look complacent, just look at the two blowouts from the Spurs/Lakers. Those games are just hard to stomach, because of the lack of effort/energy. As usual we're better playing the underdog than the favourite. If we played that foccused at home, our defense would also pick just like you saw today.

Certain situations get the Kings more focused an determined... likewise, other situations make them overconfident and sometimes lazy. All part of a long and arduous season, and the fact that for a 50+ win team the "real" season doesn't start until the playoffs...

The Kings do seem to be more focused when they're the underdog though. More consistency in the effort department and I think we'll see some drastic improvement as the season goes on...

I've heard it said that Kings are more closely 'bonded' on the road, thus the great teamwork and hussle? I understand how that could happen, the guys are basically without the distractions that being at home brings. I appreciate their extra effort last week away from home also. It's always satisfying to see them win in front of the hometown crowd, but oooohhhhhhhhh those road wins, YES!

Road wins, especially difficult upcoming road games like today's -- because of recent PO history and we were 0-2 with the Wolves so far this season -- help to develop confidence, should we meet again post season and are forced to play 3 or 4 at their house. KG doesn't look so damn dominant all of a sudden, I love it.

Maybes it's cuz they get Booed less??
