If the coach is smart, he should just let the youngsters play more. The Kings might just play themselves into a top-five pick.
Except Douby and Williams - we really don't have youngsters. What we have is bunch average and below average players with 2-3 exceptions.

we need better than 8, heck we need better than 4
Right now nbadraft has Bayless, Budinger and Mayo going at 7-8-9. Draftexpress has Budinger, Arthur and Eric Gordon. I've been watching this team. I'd be delighted to watch this team plus a rookie like one of them.

Yes, a very high pick would be great, but I'll take what I can get.

Would you guys please Stop talking about the "youngsters" as if they are even going to do something when they play? Besides Hawes and justin williams and sometimes Garcia, who is left on this team that you want to play sooo much more?

Douby is OK i guess but he will NEVER be a point guard and hes way too small to play the 2, he doesnt give me a good feeling at all when he has the ball making decisions. I want a top pick as well and i want to get rid of these sucky veterans but theus isnt going to play these guys and lose...He wants to win.

Garcia's not a youngster, he just thinks like one.

I really, really want to see Justin play more. Per minute, he's our most productive player, and there's not a reason in the world that he should be averaging 12 seconds a game lately while KT played 14-15 minutes tonight.

As a firm believer of all things DraftExpress, I believe that if Quincy Douby can't play up to his best case scenario Gilbert-Arenas, then it should be his worst-case scenario, Eddie House. Hell, even Eddie House doesn't look so bad anymore...

Anyway, the point is, I agree that he needs some playing time. I wonder how well he can blend in with some of the scorers we have a la Salmons and Udrih in the Denver game.

So what? The question isn't whether or not Douby is a point guard; the question is whether Douby is the next Bobby Jackson, or the next Shawn Respert.
Well he doesnt need to play 30 freaking minutes to do so does he? The point is we dont have all these "youngsters" that some people keep on mentioning.

Need a legit stud in the draft and not another B level player. Martin is the exception to the rule and even then, theres a difference between stud and an all star. Why do I keep saying stud? Too much John Salmons.

We could play Hawes a lot more, Williams could easily get 15-20 MPG, and Douby could get 15-20. I don't see why not. We suck right now.

I bet we draft Roy Hibbert.

Lol.

Good comparison with the former Spartan Respert...I think NBA coaches and GM's alike since the beginning of time have been enamored with the whole 'size' thing, and preventing players from playing their natural positions...sort of like in the NFL when coaches tell a quarterback that they should play tailback or WR for some odd reason I have yet to figure out. We had a similar situation about 15 years ago when we drafted a SHOOTING guard in Travis Mays and told him to play PG, we even brought in Rory Sparrow to try to 'convert' him. Well, that experiment didnt work either, and I suggest that if the Kings want to get the most out of their pick in Mr. Douby, that they'll find the best possible way to utilize him at his natural position which is SG, otherwise we might as well just trade him.

The biggest problem has been douby not hitting his shots. I see he and Garcia as our best perimeter shooters, and well frankly they're not shooting very high percentages.

Officiating???

I think the Kings did good last night (look at the stats) despite missing our two better and more consistent players. What happened is we got screwed again by the three blind mice (refs). 4:39 to go in 4th the whistle blows on Denver but they overturn the call and foul out Miller. Since when do they start overturning calls:confused:. Then with 0:52 seconds left in 4th Artest CLEARLY gets hacked and they call a jump ball:mad:! Then the final shot from Garcia another clear foul but no whistle:mad:. WTF! is going on here the refs are on the court and cant see that, i am watching on TV and can see that. The refs have now completely lost all their credibility with me and i cannot enjoy the best game ever played anymore. This is not a problem that has recently been plaguing the kings, but over the past four years. Remember the infamous goaltending call in playoffs, What are the kings supposed to do when they play hard all night but in the end a ref makes a bad call or two or three. I strongly feel there has to be some form a replay or challange. Remember the whole point of having refs calling the game is to make it Fair, but when the refs make a bad call how does that keep the game fair if they cant change it:mad:!!!!!!
