Kings notes: New twist for Adelman: García's ankle injury

WASHINGTON - Rick Adelman has 38 years of NBA memories.
So on the rare occasion when the Kings coach says he's seeing something for the first time, it's worth taking notice.
Such is the case with the injury to Francisco García, the rookie swingman who sprained his left ankle on Wednesday in Cleveland in the oddest of ways.
After a LeBron James shot came to a halt on the rim and play stopped, García decided to jump up and knock the ball down. But his landing came on the foot of center Brad Miller, in a twist of misfortune that had the Kings collectively shrugging their shoulders at the bum luck.
"The way it happened, I still can't quite figure out why it happened or why did he do that," Adelman said. "I've never seen that one. That was a first."
The aftermath may be worse than originally thought. While García said he was hoping to miss a week, Adelman said 10 days to two weeks is more likely.
And, chances are, García will keep taking the ribbings until he's back.
"Everybody's been joking me about it, but it's cool," he said. "It's all part of the game."
Even James, the Cavaliers guard who switched his own Nike shoes during the game because he was slipping. Asked by the Akron Beacon Journal about García's fall, James said, "That must've been the Reeboks he was wearing."
García, who spent so much of the early season playing erratically, had been efficient of late. In his last five games, García hit 18 of 33 shots and 9 of 18 three-pointers while averaging 23.8 minutes and 4.6 rebounds. He also had seven blocks.
