Kings New Uniforms!!!!

I have a friend who works at a sports clothing store. She's the manager, actually. Showed me the Kings new uniforms in her product catalog so I wanted to share it with all of you.

Looks like the font of C-Webb's kings mixed with the design of the modern uni's.

So... I'm compelled to think these new jerseys aren't replacing the current ones? *confused*

EDIT: Also, which purple is our purple? Depending on TV broadcasts, our away jerseys look really purple while other times it has that blue-purple look. See V1 and V2 in the first link for what I mean.

Exactly. The detailing on the side is so tacky. They should just go back to the above, and then break out the powder blue occasionally. But not those shiny, satiny ones they used a couple years ago..the originals

I love our current black sets. Love the throwback cursive logo but in the current color scheme. I'd like to see all 3 of our jerseys use that.

I've been anticipating a change to the Kings font from the C-Webb days mentioned in the OP. The King's twitter avatar is that font, and that font was used underneath the bill on Nik's draft cap.

On another note, while I do love the Bibby, Webber, golden era days jerseys (even just bought another Webber jersey this year), I think those jerseys are a bit dated and a bit too plain. For nostalgia sake, I love them. But I think it's best the team tries to keep an updated look as they search to establish a new identity that 1) is not stuck in the past (the 1999-2002 team) and that 2) differentiates itself from the dreaded years since then.

I agree. I really like the black uniforms. I'd like to go off/on with the black/purple for road games. The cursive logos are real nice, kind of old school, but still very modern.

That said, the change isn't really a big thing from last year. Honestly, it took me a few minutes to realize what was different.

When you get down to it there is not a whole hell of a lot you can do with jerseys if you don't put something down the side. Basically letter and numbers styles, and a plain piece of cloth. Guess some sort of little border. If I am going to have any flash though, I want it to look aggressive, and that does.

I just wish that one of the road jerseys would have "SACRAMENTO" on the front of one of em at least. Gotta represent the name of the city while on the road. Other than that, take away the triangles on the side and I like em

Maybe a terrible idea, but i wonder if they would ever entertain the idea of putting "SAC" on the jersey similar to the "ATL" hawks jerseys and the old "PHX" suns jerseys

The black uniform remains unchanged. If you look at the purple and white jerseys, they have a new "Kings" font on the front. No more "Sacramento". The font is the same as the old 2002 Cwebb era uniforms. Small change.

The font is back to a golden-era font. But I think the black alternates did not change.
