[Game] Kings @ Nets Game Thread, Fri 10/29 @ 4PM

Well, we gave this one away. Couldnt score once DMC came out.

Alot of blame has to go to coaching, which has been our most dissapointing thing this season in my opinion.

Off game from JT and Omri, Donte did nothing, Cousins in foul trouble. If you think about it that way there was no way we could have won the game

Well that is the game. We had good shots down the stretch and just went cold. Disappointed in Evans defense towards the end of this one. Beno was also getting burned all night, but that's nothing new.

Props to Garcia though. We would have never been in this game without him.

Damnit.... that first loss is always tough. Should've won. The game changed when Cousins fouled out. Hopefully he can solve his foul problem and we'll be golden.

Pretty happy with Garcia and Evans and Darnell played well for ... Darnell. But we needed more from JT and Omri to win this game, or any game for that matter. All went downhill once Cousins fouled out

Let's not overreact. It's one game, and we fought back in large part without Cousins and Landry in the 3rd. Jackson was a beast, and he is a huge positive to take away from this game. Tyreke played well until the end, but lets not forget it's his first game. He'll win many games for us this year. JT was dissapointing, and we didn't get much help at sf until Garcia moved to the 3. Tough loss. Game tomorrow. This team will be considerably better than last year.

Yeah tough loss, but overall decently played, not too much you complain about other than JT and Omri. We all have high expectations for the team and rightly so, and no one likes to see their team lose, but at least we came back in this one and almost won rather than getting blown out.

Yeah, I think all things considered, Donte made the most of his four minutes.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Cisco starting at the three after tonight, however.

I still like Donte's defense as a starter, and the offense Cisco and Omri can bring off the bench. We could have a very potent bench with Omri, Cisco, Jackson, and Dalembert. But what the hell do I know?

Man, this game was so frustrating. Sure, its only the 2nd game of the season, but how many times are we going to say "The Kings could have won had they made their free throws". Kings were 65%. They had this same problem last year.

The Big Uglies

I really like this team. Jackson is a great addition to this team. He is a very smart player and we've seen a lot of stupid players who try to do too much and make stupid fouls and plays, so I fully appreciate him. Without him, the Kings have no chance in this game. I'd like to see Westphal do a double screen sometime with him and Cousins. It would be like the Great Wall of China to get around.

Yeah, they didn't win the game. So what? Sure I'd like to win. But I'm seeing mega-potential with these guys. They have the opportunity form a really bruising physical and yes ugly team, which will eventually get a lot of ugly wins, and you'll be scratching your head why they got the win, but they will. They'll draw fouls, lay bodies on people, play defense (eventually), and rebound. Then they'll find it in their hearts to get the make the occassional shot in order to win. Teams will just hate to play them. You could add zero players to this team and in two years I'm sure they make the playoffs. Maybe one year. They just need experience and they just have to continue to work. It will happen. Vlade's pretty boys are gone. It's the Big Uglies from here on out.

Who would have though that we would have gotten the better end of the "jon Brockman Give-Away"

(This isn't a stab at Jon, he's just been hurt.)

Very happy with what I've seen in Jackson...nice pick up.

I second that he seems like a guy who will bring it every night, lunch pail hard worker guy a squad can NEVER have too many of those.

As for the game if Cisco doesn't show up we don't get the oppurtunity to blow this one. I'm just glad we got a group that doesn't quit, everything else is execution and with a young squad that will improve over time. They will bring it tomorrow night in Cleveland I'm not too worried.

Its amusing a month or 2 ago everyone was down on Cisco (ok a large portion) and calling JT part of our future. 2 games in and JTs head is 1/2 on a platter and Garcia is our best outside shooter and keeping us in games...
