I think in addition to the black jerseys our only hope is to add some baseball hats on sideways, maybe some neck chains...too bad we can't put some rubber bands around the bottom of the shorts.

I have been lurking a lot. I only sent the kids one year because it is so darn expensive. I would love to go stalking there this year though.

After all the uncertainty, rumors and problems with the Comcast coverage at the beginning of the season and whether or not the games would be picked up by DishNetwork, I'm reasonably sure he won't take my calls. In fact, I think it's safe to assume any calls coming from my phone number would probably be routed immediately to security.

Gotcha! My opinion was simply that I don't care WHAT they wear, but I want them to BE tougher.
Personally, I liked having both colors like we used to.
 
My Opinion::

I am kind of late here, but we definitely looked tough in the black and I can picture the 2002 western conference finals. What I also think is that we shouldn't have painted the court light purple instead of black. The black makes Arco and the Kings look much stronger and tougher. Although, a little bit of purple should still be kept.
 
i personally like animated jerseys, like the timberwolves and cavs, so if we could get like a black jersey with purple "Kings" with a crown on the K tilted to the side like it is hanging on. But yeah bring back the black.

PS, i seen a thing on ESPN about how teams that wear red, happen to win the big games like the super bowl more often than the teams that don't, so if we could get a retro all red kings jersey with white or baby blue letters, maybe it could have an affect. To refresh your mind with the red: USC, Patriots, Pistons, and the Red Sox. All had red on their uniforms some how. But then there are some exceptions so eh.

And I disagree vehemently with your basic premise that because Webber is gone the team needs a new identity. It's the name on the front that matters; not the name on the back. The team was the Kings before Webber and they're the Kings now. They don't need a new identity and they certainly don't need to be prancing around the court in powder blue uniforms with stripes.

I don't know... I like those better than the purple V-neck action they've got going right now. Just my personal opinion, but the round neck looks a lot more... normal, I guess? Black also just looked better. Aesthetically speaking, these or the old black ones are preferable to the maternity ward shirts the Kings are sporting for every away date, in my ever humble opinion.

And just what is wrong with a maternity ward? Oh, err.......you were talking about the Kings, not expectant mothers............nevermind. ;)

Red= Cleavland Cavs, Atlanta Hawks, Chicago Bulls, LA Clippers, 76ers', and Portland Trailblazers.

Hah... well not all of the teams with red win. Without MJ this list would be even funier. We are unique in our purple but we could be unique with a purple, black and white combo. No red, thanks. :D

I read that article in the paper and some of it was true but I just don't see us in red. Red is primary color, purple secondary but to make purple you need red so technically we are a shade of red. There goes that theory.



The Red Sox have red uniforms:eek:, who came up with that ingenous idea???
what next, White Sox in white?? what is this world coming to?

Do the Maloof's ever stop by this board??? And if so, will they take notice of the overwhelming response to go back to the black??? I sure hope so.

Is there anything we as fans can do to see this change made. Someone help me!
 
Actually it was rumored this spring that the Kings WOULD - in fact - be bringing back the black uniforms as alternate road unis. At this point, I think whether or not they do it has to take a back seat to a lot of more pressing issues. If there's a chance for more money to be made then I think you have to consider it possible. And, now that the named on most of the backs have changed, I think it might even be more likely than before.
 
good point, no reason to be keeping those Mobley jersey's around.
