Can't be sad about this game, no matter what. They played hard. They played with heart. They played with pride.
Yeah. This game was vastly superior to a win over an injury-ridden lottery team.

what is with bibby and his near half court shots?
He thinks they're worth 4 points.
He's killing us with his shot selection.
It's beyond awful.
I don't care what anyone says, I saw TEAM tonight and it did my heart good. Our young guns got good playing time and we walked out of American Airlines Center with our pride intact. I, for one, don't feel the need to snipe at any of our OWN players right now.
A. Johnson coached well down the stretch. Is it me or is our team constantly not executing well during crunch time. Think this lies on Musselman and his staff.

Yes, the majoirty of the guys played well.
Wasn't a lot different tonight in my mind, other then Artest hitting his shots at a crazy clip, which kept the Kings in it....but he was taking bad shots. He was just making them.
But, just calling it like it is.
Kenny Thomas crying like a baby hurt us bad.
Bibby and his awful shot selection hurt us bad.
If that's taking a snipe at them, then, I guess it is.
I'm not much of a moral victory kinda person I guess.
I really don't buy the whole technical foul is what killed us theory that Grant was preaching.
There is so much more to it...If Shareef doesn't brick a wide-open seven foot jumper, if player A hits that extra free throw, if player B hits that layup.
All in all there is no point in bashing anyone, because we all played excellent tonight, and we took a team that has abused us the past few games a took them to the limit...On there hme court no less.
The one thing I can complain about, is the Kings look like Greg Oden frontrunners Vs. New Orleans, yet they do this and instill hope they can turn it around...If you can play with Dallas, you can beat anyone.
Whatever, dude.
Just calling it like it is? What a crock. Sorry, but there hasn't been a lot for Kings fans to take any kind of hope from. Just the notion that the team still cares matters to me. They may not win a lot but as long as they can continue to put forth the effort I'll stand and cheer.
And it's not about a moral victory. It's about being honest. The Kings AREN'T that good right now. What we saw tonight was a team with pride in themselves come out and refuse to allow arguably the best team in the league right now to run them over. I'm gonna celebrate that...
And I'm not. What's the big deal? I'm wrong because I don't feel like I should celebrate them putting up a fight with the Mavs?
And to be honest, I don't think they did. I think Artest did, but, he always does IMO. Martin, Corliss and Salmons as well. And, those guys pretty much always do that on a nightly basis. I didn't see some burning desire, team effort from the rest of the guys...which...is no different then any game. I didn't really see it from the Mavs either. (and apperently either did Johnson as he said the energy wasn't there for them).
They aren't children out there.
I don't think they played all that hard. (some did, not all).
I don't think they played smart. Ron and Mike took some awful awful shots. Kenny made some awful choices.
So...I don't see much to cheer about for myself.
You're more then welcome to cheer. I'm not sitting here telling you, you're wrong for doing so. More power to you.
But, I don't see anything to be cheering for...which is fine.
I think we lost because of bonehead plays that should not have happened.

Really???![]()
In the Adelman era it was always "the coach didn't miss the free throws" or "the coach doesn't rebound" so give it a rest.
I think the team played hard and with the way this season has gone I think we need a few moral victories along the way. Now, if they go in and take a dump in Memphis then it's a different story but this team seem to be playing better and with a little more heart. I don't think that has anything to do with coaching and ALOT to do with the attitude of the team.
You're the one who came into a thread where everyone was up for the first time in a long time. If you don't want to cheer, fine. Don't cheer. But why bring everyone else down?
The thing is every team in every game will have "bonehead plays," otherwise we would have perfect games. How many times does that happen?
I think we lost because Dallas is a better team right now. A myriad of plays could have changed the outcome for either side. Almost everyone played well tonight. We just lost to a better team.
You are correct. You are entitled to your opinion. I just do not happen to agree with you.
They played hard tonight as a TEAM. That is all I ask and they delievered. A win would have been nice, but after the way they have played lately, I am content with this. I hope that THEY are not happy or content with it. I want them to keep pushing as hard as they can. But I will cheer for their heart and effort TOGETHER tonight.
