Jason Hart will be the backup PG he looks great out there and he is the one true PG besides Price on this team. Oh and guys give Salmons a break he is coming to a new team and trying to fit in he will get better. I am liking the defensive intensity though how were trapping and playing full court D sometimes it is great. Though with all this effort on D I hope the players don't get tired ya know by like January lol.

Finally... douby gets his first points in an nba game. Hit the and-1 jumpshot. He has 3 points now.

edit- he scored another 2... has 5 points. This is the game I love to see... maybe a small spark to get his game going :)

Quicy Douby didn't really impress me and neither did Amundson. I was impressed with Justin Williams and even Jason Hart.

I noticed that Potato cake or whatever the spelling of his last name didn't even play. Can it be that he still has yet to pass Mussleman's drill? Everyone has passed the drill but him.

I really wish they wouldn't play so many pre-season games. Let the regular season begin.

Is it just me or did it remind you of Peja and Cwebb when SAR and Salmons were on the fast break and Salmons gave it back to SAR after SAR passed it to him?

As far as Douby goes, he settled down towards the end of the game. I think he had the NBA equivalent of stage fright. I suspect he'll do much better at Arco in front of a friendly crowd.

I disagree about the pre-season games. I think having a couple of weeks worth of games to hone some skills is going to serve us very well once the season begins. And, it gives Musselman and Co. a chance to assess the extra guys on the roster and see if any of them are worth trying to find a way to keep.

Personally, I'd keep Williams.

brad and mike are played real well togerther in the 1st and 3rd quarter, they really know eachothers games well, brad and garcia had a couple blocks, overall i liked what i saw from bibby and miller their deft shooting touches were not hindered by the new ball..yay

NBA.com says Loren Woods didn't play...

I loved the depth of the team. I loved the way Amundson and Williams played.

Bibby played nice D, passed well, and shot well. He played like the best PG in the NBA.

Brad played D and he had 2 blocks! It's a miracle. The only play I remember him really playing bad D was when Dampir out muscled him this one trip down the floor.

Hart played really well, it's another amazing thing! He had 9 points and hit a 3 pointer. Played good defense too.

Corliss was AWESOME. He played like the former 6th man he is. He was really awesome off the bench, hitting a floater, a couple mid range Js, and a shot I can't remember. If he keeps playing like this I think he'll keep getting PT.

Woods didn't really play well or do anything IMO.

Kevin played real well IMO. He only shot 40% but he had 2/3 3s and 7 boards. Also liked his defense.

Garcia did some things real well although he didn't shoot real well. He had a nice screen, he had some nice passes, played D, hustled, got steals, etc. Kind of like Tayshaun Prince IMO.

Shareef came off the bench and gave us some offense but I didn't like his D and his rebounding was bad(only 1 board). Still had some beautiful post moves, a mid range J, and a nice dunk I think.

Kenny played some nice D and got boards. Didn't force anything and I think he's a much better passer than people give him credit for.

Overall I'm really liking the way Musselman coaches and got the team to play. It was really refreshing, everyone was hustling, diving for lose balls, blockin some shots, getting boards, passing. Oh man the passing was great. I was really surprised they played this well.

The offense was quite fluent considering this was their "first" game together. The only problem with this was that it was the Mavs scrubs we played against and i doubt we would've won by 21. It would have been a much closer game if everyone played.

Why is it amazing Hart did good? Granted he sucked last year but every player has an off year now and than and really after the first month of last season when Hart started off slow he got in Adelman's doghouse and was never really given a chance to get back out of said doghouse.

Williams showed some heart out there, i think he could have a nice future in the NBA.

Overall i was impressed, cant wait till we face the Lakers on tues.

Who cares?

Pre-season isn't about winning or losing. It's about assessing players and identifying team strengths and weaknesses. Yes, winning is always a bonus but it's not why they play the games.

Having said that, our "scrubs" spent quite a bit of time on the court, too.

I'm just so dang happy to see Kings players actually playing, I could not care less if the Mavs had Del Harris out there playing. ;)
