Actually the kings have been playing decent defense. Not to be confused with great or championship type defense but some defense. Yes the mavs are missing shots but many are actually contested. Closing out on shooters and such

Sort of but we've seen couple similar engaged, effort games by Kings of late. But always same old script. Totally unable to close out games. Just like last time in Big D could not close out in regulation and then could not pull it out in OT - losing on last second shot by Deron Williams.

Well, there's been much more effort on the perimeter defense, but we appear to have opened up a runway to the basket.

I completely disagree. The Mavericks cannot make anything from outside...I mean 73 points in the fourth quarter. They've been averaging 120 in three straight games prior to this game. This is a game the Mavericks do not want right now.
