[Game] Kings @ Magic 23 Feb 1900 EST

Glad we got the win. A lot of tough performances down the stretch for us tonight. Gotta say though, I'm really disappointed in the Magic. After that huge trade, I had them pegged as one of the elites in the East. Easy to root for against the likes of Miami. But if a team lets Luther Head sink 4th quarter daggers into them, they suck.

Wait, so if the OKC game was undeniable proof that Tyreke is the only difference between competing and getting blown out every night, what does this game prove?...
You're pathetic. OKC plays a G/SF heavy offense. And they have 2 of the more premier players at those positions and when we're missing our best guard who's also our best defensive guard we're in for a long night(as the two games less than a week apart proved). OKC and Orlando don't play the same game. Their guards are mostly shooters and they rely heavily on Howard(which is a horrible idea IMO).

Funny how you resort to name-calling when I (or someone else) disagrees with you, and when you realize you are dead wrong you suddenly disappear, or resort to even more name calling...

What's pathetic is trying to use a single game as "proof" of anything. It's almost as if some people here, yourself included, celebrated us getting blown out (by Western Conference playoff teams on the road, I might add) because it provided some kind of phony "proof" that all the flaws in Tyreke's game (not passing on the break, playing at ONLY an excrutiating slow tempo, dribbling down the shot clock, trying to be a hero in the 4th, etc.) are not really flaws, but actually a necessity for us to compete, which of course is complete BS.

If you have an argument to make, make it. If you're gonna be an *** about it, then spare yourself trying to convince me of anything because I have grown quite fond of the ignore button as of late.

I've never said the kid didn't have flaws. You're the one who only seems to cling onto the same flaws and never says a peep when his dominance shows on the court.

Why don't you go back for when Tyreke had his first triple double. Check who started the congratulatory thread and get back to me...

I think what happened was you came to this site as a Casspi fan and when tyreke stole the show and got special treatment during his 20-5-5 chase, you took it personal and have held a personal vendetta against the kid.

Yes, that's exactly what happened. It's pretty obvious too, because I just keep praising Casspi on here day in and day out. Oh and those other posters who happen to agree with me, they too are all Casspi fans pissing on your parade.

Grow the **** up already.

Honestly, you're just unbelievable.

I don't really even praise the kid's game because I know it's still a work in progress. What amazes me is how you can constantly rag on his game when he's only 21 years old. I think YOU need to grow the **** up already.

Tyreke is a bust. Dump him for the rights to Ricky Rubio and a box of chocolates ASAP. That'll be our saving grace.

You keep saying words like "unbelievable" and "pathetic", yet you fail to point out what exactly is unbelievable or pathetic about what I'm saying.

For the record, and this will be my last note in this ridiculous argument, I have absolutely no vendetta against Tyreke. I just hold the opinion that in order for a team to seriously think about contending in the future, its best player needs to become as good or better than the best players of the teams it's going to be competing against. That means being as good or better than the Kobes, Lebrons, Rondos, Roses, and Wades of the world. Does Tyreke have it in him? I don't know, but we will never find out if we keep coddling him and allowing him to make the same mistakes over and over without holding him accountable. This is a sure fire way to become the next Cleveland, with an extremely talented but spoiled and mentally weak superstar who will eventually leave the franchise because the franchise never commanded his respect.

And yes, I do hold him to higher standards than I hold any other player, because if a role player ****s up consistently or grows too huge of an ego, you trade his ***. When your franchise player develops bad habits, you are stuck with these habbits forever (or at least until he leaves for the Lakers).

Should the players feel proud and happy about this win? Should I be this happy? I am. Great win no matter what the reason or what it means. Just enjoyed the heck out of it. I even think I saw a smile on Westphal's face. Even Cousins who wasn't playing was jumping up and down. Struggling teams that have a tough time winning gime the most satisfying wins of all. Who would have believed it!!!!!!

Congratulations guys. You made my day.

Wow how the Magic have fallen off. The Kings had a lot of players contribute but it clearly shows all Orlando has is Dwight and a bunch of shooters, you can't win like that in this league. The Orlando Magic either need to get Dwight some serious help and I mean two all-stars at least...or just think about rebuilding next summer.

Magic didn't show up. Unheralded Kings players played at (or more likely, above) their potential. An elite team should have been able to withstand this, but the Magic did not. Kudos to the Kings for coming in and playing their arses off. There are many puns that come to mind regarding Westphal and Head, but I'll just say that he rode the hot hand to victory.

Or, the blind squirrel found the acorn.
Or, the sun did shine on his....well, you get the idea.
Whether by luck or by design, Westphal kept Head in the game when we wanted him out. I'm sure we would have crucified him if it didn't pan out, but it did, and well done.
