Kings interested in DJ Mbenga

Bummer...I liked this guy...I thought maybe he would have at least signed an offer sheet somewhere else, he never plays behind Dampier/Diop.
 
.....and potentially overpaid. ;)

We have bigger fish to fry, honestly. Like trades and bigger FAs... He would of been a nice pick-up though, sure.
 
At least he is signed and it is over with. I would have hated to see the Kings sign him to an offer sheet and then have to wait a whole week before we know if we are getting him or not. Geoff's hands would have been tied in making other moves while waiting for the Mavs to decide.
 
I'm not really that convinced the Kings went after him. I think mentioning our name might just have been a bargaining ploy. It's certainly happened before...
 
I could see the Kings inquiring about him. He has talent, but how much? Who knows. And now we will never know because he will STILL see no court time in Dallas.
 
Rebounding and shot blocking bigs might as well be point guards if they sit at the end of the bench not getting any playing time.
 
I hope he and his agent demands a trade, and gets it. Mo Evans and his agent did it with the Pistons, and he got traded.
