Hopefully Monte is starting to see what he's got. This team when faced with playoff basketball type games tends to rely far too heavily on the system 3's they generate. IMO, the best fix is to go get someone that can be a legit 2nd option type. Julius Randle may have unfortunately played up beyond being a possibility at this point but someone like that would take this team up beyond where they are in so many ways.

If only Holmes wasn't horrible OR they played someone else.

Seems a fairly obvious showcase.

Len is even worse. They have no one at backup center. Gotta call Boogie or get Dwight out from Taiwan. There’s zero percent chance they’re worse than either of our current backup stiffs. Hell, bring my man Whiteside back.

Hopefully they get @Utah.

They competed but the rebounding is driving me crazy.

some Ill timed lob attempts by Fox that were both turnovers and then Monk started kicking the ball around too when it was 91-87. That 4 point range. That’s when they started pulling away. Kings weren’t in enough of rhythm to start trying to get cute…but once again a Domas-less stretch proved fatal.

thankfully the Niners escaped Vegas

Holmes didn't have a great game but I didn't really see him being that bad. He did hustle tonight. He was hardly involved offensively and Fox and Monk threw him some atrocious passes when he was. Bottom line, Fox, Monk, and Huerter can't have games like this at the same time and not be a great indicator as to how poorly the offense is running and/or they are playing. Fox had a bad game. On both ends. Little sparks here and there but he didn't look anything like that all star tonight.

Adams killed us. Refs bad but honestly bad for both teams in the second half. Fox not hitting anything doesn’t give us much of a chance against a top 5 team in the league.
I wish Fox would attack the basket more. He falls too much in love with his jumper at times. I could wrong but he did not have even one attempt where he drove to the hoop to shoot a layup. He had 3 buckets at the basket but those were from passes or loose balls I believe.

Hard to believe we got completely outworked in the second half by the team playing the back to back. But we were shooting flat all night. I don't know how we get the sort of player we need outside of the draft frankly without making the kind of trade that will make us all cry like the Hali one did.

We've been losing to teams that have played back to back games as of late. First it was Charlotte then it was Washington and now Memphis. I mean it should be an advantage for the Kings. Hopefully this trend doesn't continue.

he wasn’t great but I think they should stick with Holmes. Maybe if he’s actually given some time and enough reps he might find a rhythm with Monk and Davion on a pick n roll. Right now a lot of passes to him that get broken up just seem like bad chemistry.

U mean a legit 3rd option.

Yeah, Monte has to look around though. This team needs a 2nd option badly. Is Murray that guy? I'm not totally sure. I think he will indeed be about that Barnes level type of player and Brown doesn't seem to have any interest in letting Keegans post game have a chance to transition. Brown likes his F's to be able to face up and play guard ball. He has even had Lyles doing it all year which as much of an upgrade as Lyles has been over Metu, that spot would probably be better going to someone who can shoot that 3 ball a tad bit better. Outside of KZ being better in switch he's not proven to be that guy yet either. Lyles has been pretty streaky from 3 for his career.

Ja Morant sure has developed into an unlikeable diva. He’s really, really good. But nowhere near as good as HE thinks he is.

Now being a highly marketable face of the league, he’s getting so many bogus calls due to name recognition. Much of the time he just runs full speed into the lane initiating contact amongst the trees and gets bailed out.

Then there are plays like the loose ball Davion had the inside track on but after both players collide it‘s Davion that gets called for the foul since he isn’t the BIG name. He had the same right to the ball Ja Morant did.

It’s getting maddening to watch.

Then there‘s the NBA allowing Steven Adams to hack anybody and everybody in going after rebounds and knocking the ball around for teammates to get. That dude should foul out of every game he plays.

Memphis is like San Antonio from the 2000’s, They’re allowed to play over-physical defense because the league doesn’t want to foul half the team out of the game each night. It complete BS.

Adams leads the league in off rebounds. He averaged 6 against Kings in a first 2 games, while averaging slightly above 5 after this games overall.I willing to chalk this to Domas not being able to fight for position because of the hand

Murray could be that guy but he won't be that guy for 2-3 years. It will be interesting what happens if we somehow bring Sasha over and re-sign Barnes.

it wasn’t just not hitting shots. Fox’s first foul was halfway through Q4. Tissue paper knocks him off his man. Unless Fox starts playing credible defense this team will struggle. Can he? Yes absolutely. He did not tonight.
