Kings Fans & Our Record

I know there are a lot of fans who are freting all over the record we have but we are not considered to be as powerful of a team as houston, YET they have the exact same record as the kings right now.

They also have a better bench than us and 2 big time stars.

Things will turn around for the kings and the game tonight hopefully will be a stepping stone to better things to come.

3-2 with McGrady.
0-3 with McGrady sitting out because of back spasms.

The difference is that we don't have a McGrady to get back from injury. We've gone 3-5 with our whole team intact.

While our problems may not be compareable, and may be harder to fix, like the Rocket we sill have plenty of time to turn things around. We'll see if the guys decide to take advantage of that or not. :)

Mcgrady is still injured. He's playing hurt and was obviously in pain during the Spurs game. He came back early because the Rockets role players are playing terrible. I should know. Just kicked Stromile and Rafer off my fantasy team. No good bums...

even without tmac they still have a 7-6 center who is basically the best center in the league right now with shaq out.
the rockets problem is they have a head coach who does not know how to use the biggest player in the nba.

my point with this post is anything can happen and even those who are supposed to be can struggle from time to time

I think that is exactly the difference right now. Several expected power teams are struggling right now. But they all have injury woes to explain the slow starts, while all we've got is just flat out woes.

On the positive side that still means those teams aren't running away from us in the standings, no matter why they are struggling. But I'm not really watching anybody else right now. Didn't think we were as good as them before the season, certainly don't now, and am not going to concern myself with keeping up with the Joneses until we prove we even live in the neighborhood.

As far as the team's record and standing goes, they are only a game back (ignoring the teams that are between them and the eighth spot) from being in playoff positioning. I think that as long as they can move up (still up for debate, but they were last in the division not long ago - yippee, doesn't that make you feel good) and improve they will prove that they do belong in the neighborhood or at least in the run down parts of it (6-8 seed).

I was at the Nets/Rockets game and of course McGrady destroyed the Nets by himself.
All I know is I am glad we got SAR instead of trading for Swift like there was talk of. Swift was HORRIBLE! He looked completely confused everytime he was on the floor and was only good for some gimme defensive rebounds. Wouldn't be a good fit for our offense at all.

Which isn't the point, but unfortunately is a huge flaw in our organization's way of looking at things. With Brad as our center, we need to have an athletic shotblocker getting major minutes next to him on the floor. While I have nothing against SAR's contributions to the team so far this year, and I'm not saying Swift is the answer, but we're going to keep getting killed inside by teams not named the Jazz until the personnel situation is rectified.
