The Kings caped off the unofficial first half of the season with a 5 game winning streak followed by a 3 game loosing streak.

It's been that kind of a season.

Desmond Mason scored 18 points and David West had 16 to lead New Orleans to a 110-93 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night.

Ron Artest, who shot just 4-of-15 from the field, scored 18 points to lead the Kings. Corliss Williamson added 16 for Sacramento and Kevin Martin finished with 15.

The biggest question right now on most KingsFans minds is will the team make a major trade before next weeks trade deadline, and if they do what direction do they go? Do they trade for a vertern big man that can push them into the 7th or 8th spot in the playoffs or do they cut their losses, try to dump some salary and start the rebuilding process in ernest?

I think the worst thing the team can do is stand pat. The team isn't going anywhere in it's current incarnation and at times isn't even fun to watch anymore. Whatever happens we should have somewhat of a clear picture after next week.

If the team "stand's pat", even if it's the right thing to do in regards to trade offers you better believe fans aren't going to like it.

I mean if the Maloofs are coming out and saying something needs to happen, something better happen. The Kings are finally in a position to maybe clear up some serious cap space or go young withough having to wait out horrible contracts to expire or buyout bigger ones. It will be very interesting to see what goes down!

im still sticking to my 10-3 prediction for this month. that 5 game streak was awesome. why did we have to tank the final 3. that really sucks
