Kings corner: Home consistency produces road success
Diary with Corliss Williamson

We made the road trip count by the way we played (Friday night) against Memphis. We can't be concerned about what other teams are doing, and I think we showed that we're not by going 4-1 on that trip.

I think we built a base by winning the 10 straight games (now 11) at home. That's another step of progress and consistent play. The ability to take that same type of consistency on the road helps build progress. I feel we will make the playoffs. I think we're starting to peak. Certainly, our consistency is getting better, and that's moving us to play some of our best basketball.

I think in the playoffs any team we would play would wonder what they were about to face because they know we would have been hot for the past two months.

It hurts a lot to sit out, but I learned a long time ago to put yourself aside and think more about the team. My role here right now is to share some of my wisdom. Winning definitely makes it easier.

Major props to Corliss. He not only says that, you know he actually means it.

Corliss is the man. A great veteran presence to have, on any team.

Weird to think about how Corliss' career has sort of been intertwined with the Kings. One of those eerie sports coincidences I think.

Oh man I feel terrible. He insists sitting on the bench that's why he doesn't score that much which makes me think that I must make an account that says "Scoreless_Williamson". He is a good King afterall. Not like some players that I know who whines about his playing time!
