[KINGS] Comments that don't warrant their own thread (Redux)

“Only getting better. Please don’t offer him a contract in free agency!” -the Kings according to people here.
For the record, a huge difference exists between what I would do and what I think the Kings might choose to do given they opted to pay someone 48M a year to take Keon’s starting spot even though he had the highest Net Rating on the team.

And before you say they wouldn’t be so dumb as to let Keon go may I remind you of the Haliburton trade.

As Kings fans we’re trained to assume that all our players are bad all the time but Zach Lavine (when healthy) is an elite scorer that is probably not entirely unworthy of his contract.

I’m trying to think of another player in the league that can slash 50/44/80+ while average 23 points a game and get as much disrespect. Beal would be the closest but he makes more money and has the no trade clause. I’m guessing if Lavine played for a non loser franchise (Wolves, Bulls, Kings) his career arch would be different even with the injuries.

There is an alternate universe where the Warriors traded for Lavine instead of Butler at the deadline and he averaged 30 points a night playing off of Steph and Draymond for the entire stretch run.

I saw this morning. I guess the revelation in there, beyond the questionable use of blackmail, is that it was a Rich Paul effort to get the Kings to take on Zach. Who knows how that all works out, but if true, maybe a lot of people are owed apologies. Kinda had to separate myself from other forums lately because of the appalling things said on twitter over the last 2-3 days.

Rich doesn’t own the Kings. Monte and Vivek are totally capable of saying no.

He tells all other trade partners to back off. He reps Christie too, right? Honestly I'd really like to know more what Peja knows, maybe he just misused blackmail but Paul can throw a lot of weight around.

And Monte knew his time was done in making this deal so not sure he really cared one way or another, though I will give him credit for doing ok work to fill the roster once it was done.

For someone who pretends to be smart all the time, you sure say some really foolish things.

What happens when we tell Rich Paul to F off, hold Fox for the remainder of his deal, tell his other expensive client we dont want him?
His friend who’s a GM now apparently is so awesome that he doesn’t have to worry about pissing off one of the most powerful agents in the league and making it impossible to get anything done.

Not sure this already posted or really needs to be. DMC at it again!

Feeling sorry for myself watching Tyrese Haliburton who we traded, is playing great in the finals while the other guy that we kept to get Sabonis, stuck it to us and forced us to trade him to San Antonio. In the meantime Sabonis is sitting back on the couch watching from the sidelines wondering if he even wants to remain in Sacramento or if he’s going to be traded. Then, you have DeMar DeRozan knowing he’s being shopped and probably hoping he gets traded. We have No draft pick this year till the second round and no point guard on the team. Trey Lyles will probably be gone and aside from Keon Ellis and Keegan Murray nobody can play defense while the latter can’t shoot when he plays defense. What a mess. I don’t have the answers but there is no simple fix and as much as I love Doug Christie I see him being set up as the guy that’s going to have to take the fall when nothing works out. Monty really screwed the pooch with his moves. I’m Really surprised our new GM even took this job. He’s probably just going to glean a paycheck until he gets fired by our dimwitted owner. #Kangz
