Kings Coach Plot Thickens - Voisin

100% agree

theres nothing left to chose from. im sure theres a reason brooks is so well respected and shooting up the ranks. but no serious experence. but theres flaws with all the coaches left.

As there's no coach in the world that will make us an even mediocre rebounding team, my vote is for the most offensively focused coach available.

The thing is though if they want to interview PJ they don't have to wait. Pop has said if any team wants to interview any of his assistants during the playoffs they are free to do so. So waiting for the Finals to end does not matter if we want to interview PJ interview him now.
That does not matter. GP has said he will not interview someone on a team still in the playoffs, period, regardless of if they are available to be interviewed.

Maybe its a ploy. They'll wait so long that we'll just be happy to finally end the suspense and start criticizing the choice. :p ;)

He was never a great coach in the first place. Preculdes becoming a great coach again.

Him arriving though would be the fitting end to our little saga. He's spent his entire NBA career tailing along after Adelman as his less talented and less successful polar opposite. Why not a third time?

Man, that completely depressed me. I do not want PJ, which means there is a good chance he is hired. If he does come to Sac, this post will be one of the first things I think abut. So sad, but so true.

I read somewhere that even though Popovich said he would agree to having PJ interviewed, PJ said he would not do so until the end of the Spurs playoff season. Annie.

I sure hope they have nothing against making moves without a coach because it doesn't seem like there is an end in sight and they have to get their asses in gear as far as the roster goes. This isn't a good start and frankly I'm a little pissed.

What do you think is the reasoning behind the Petrie position? I don't get it.

Call me stupid, but I really get a feeling we may be waiting for Natt. Read this:
http://bastrop.townnews.com/articles/2007/06/05/sports/sports3.txt

Just seems like a perfect match- college standout, NBA bit player, spent time in various other leagues before becoming a scout and assistant with Utah for 9 years under Sloan, where he was a part of two Finals teams. Then moves to Cleveland to work with Paul Silas, is retained and made top assistant under Brown, and has another team in the Finals. Plus he recruited Mario Elie and others, and seems to be a solid "in-game" guy. This is far out there, I know, but at this point what else do we have to go on???

So, now, my crazy list of possible candidates is five: Porter, Brooks, Natt, Carlesimo, Shaw. Rambis being the wildcard, but I don't see it happening anymore.

Thoughts???

Yes, I have A thought.

I want them to get this crap over with, hire someone - even if it's my old, dear friend Bozo the one-legged monkey - and quit acting like they are so far beyond clueless that they can't even see it from space.

I am pretty sure that Dumars just said the Pistons were keeping Bozo the one-legged monkey as their head coach even though he just got out-coached by Mike Brown.

No, Bozo isn't Flip Saunders. Bozo is a quite beloved little creature quite near and dear to the hearts of many. He wouldn't be caught dead in the Eastern Conference.

;)

I can see PJ as our next coach and we FAIL to trade Artest:

Carlisimo: Artest, out of the game now.
Artest: No way, I know what Im doing.
Carlismo: Get out now!
Artest: No! Let me stay in. I can do it!
Carlisimo: Dammit! (Runs towards Artest and begins choking)
Artest: AAAARRGGHH!! GAASSSP!!
Carlisimo: See, this is what I learned from my experience in the NBA. Choke them before they choke you.
