Kings co-owner wants mayor removed from arena negotiations

The clowns are now gonna act as if they are interested in making anything happen here, including this ridiculous mention of renovating ARCO, so that they can tell anybody that'll listen 10 months from now that they tried to make something work but the city was totally uncooperative. It's as if they really don't understand how transparent their intentions always are.
 
Wonder how the nba will react when they use the "city won't negotiate with us" ploy. On a side note, why would the city negotiate to renovate PB when they are neither tenants nor owners. I wonder if George actually believes the crap that comes put of his mouth or if it is partly tactical.
 
I'll make George a deal. If he turns over complete control of this issue to Gavin, then the City will put up a different lead negotiator. But seriously, this is yet another stupid transparent ploy on his part. He is acting like a teenager with his emotions out of control.
 
As an educated health care provider with a specialty in brain chemistry and emotional/behavioral health, from my read on George's actions I sincerely believe he has a drug problem of some sort, either prescription or illicit. People usually don't act with such violent inconsistency if there isn't a corresponding brain chemistry issue. To be more specific about what I'm seeing, I'm analyzing his speech patterns that were quoted in that article, which are somewhat incoherent and rambling.

Don't know if you saw the actual press conference, but when I watched it, I thought George looked like a complete lunatic at times. He was waving his arms in the air, waving papers in the air. Tripping over his own words. As I've said, it was the most bizarre press conference I've ever seen. I have to wonder what his attorneys sitting next to him were thinking. David Stern, who is always a professional, and tries to have the league put on a professional face, must have been cringing when he watched that press conference.

I think the Maloofs forget that they represent the league, as well as themselves.

Would make sense with the DUI issue and his subsequent excuse. The whole "oh I drank a couple beers then right in the middle of my drive home decided to pop some Ambien so I could get an early start on my sleep" defense never really seemed to hold water to me. Not to mention there have always been the rumors about Gavin and his affinity for the nose candy.

as much as i love our kings im seriously giving up on all the b.s at the end of the day there gona end up leaving we all no this...these stupid owners we got are somthing else.I feel bad for our players having to go through all this as well.i just sent the nba a letter telling them how bad these magoofs are making the nba look...we dont deserve this we have ben nothing but loyal if they had a better payrole better players not all stars just better players belive me pbp will be sold out almost everynight how do they expect to sell out when we have a bunch of rookies 2 year players and some worn out vetrans...i just feel like were gona keep on getting played our moneys gona go to these backstabers and at the end of the day there gona say bye bye sacramento...id seriously wanna see fans not show up anymore this year and all of next year....so much for longlivethekings

Interesting. Never heard that till now. Never a good idea to "get an early start on your sleep" while you're still driving!!

Considering this, and baja's observations, my opinion is now about 99.9% that there is something going on. Probably multiple drugs of abuse. He at least definitely has ADD/HD, which anyone can clearly observe with his constant small physical movements and eye tracking patterns he displays while in the background and press conferences and the like.

What I hope for now is that there is some kind of intervention for him. I know it sounds cheesy and all, as I'm saying this right in the middle of this debacle, but I just hope there is someone in the family who cares about him enough to take a chance to reach out and help him.

Just a guess, but I'd say his issues likely include prescription ADD/HD drugs, some of my least appreciated drugs on the market, simply because they are so easily abused or over-prescribed (including way too high of dosages). In terms of their action on brain chemistry, it's well known that most of them meet the technical definition of "habit-forming". Most of them, also, are basically similar in action to cocaine, just slow releasing.

or maybe for the last home games we got we should really try and sell out and make it to the news all over the world with a chant "sell the team" for almost the whole game....will deff make world wide sports news im sure the magoofs are not going to be there cause if they are theyll be hearing stuff from me
 
Honestly, it doesn't take a professional to see that George is off his rocker...hopefully it's the last gasp before they sell the team.
 
George Maloof often displays a thug-like personality. I'm sure he learned it in Vegas but maybe he had it all along. In presser at one point (maybe more than once) he was cracking his knuckles in what any psychologist would say was a beating of the chest kind of machismo. A totally unprofessional, unstable, hideous performance. I think he's youngest of the three brothers but all of them are little squirts if you've ever seen them closeup. It seems Georgie has a complex that makes him want to display a certain brotherly superiority over Joe and Gavin - plus he does carry on the fathers first name. I'd love to meet up with Junior in a dark alley. He looks and acts like a big talking, bad acting, weasel of a coward.

After what you and a few others said yesterday about the way George came across during the press conf, I watched his press conf again last night and I must say something did seem to be off.

On two different occasion George raised is voice and was about to lash out about some question or point made, and instead stumbled all over himself. Literally forgot what he was saying, and instead said uh, uh, uh....what's the word, uh...nevermind, not the point.

My sense is he's either in significant financial trouble and is scrambling to cover for that, and is so worried and in so deep he's fighting just to spit out a valid excuse, or maybe a drug problem, or some combination of both. All I know is I've never seen such a wealthy(use that term loosely) businessman act so loony. Seemed more like a rocker or hollywood actor losing his grip. Actually, reminded me of Charlie Sheen.
 
Captain Factorial wants George Maloof removed from society. Preferably on account of making his next cocaine purchase from an undercover police officer.

Sting time, boys. Bring him down.

It's just that in my experience, people usually aren't just off their rocker in that particular way without a brain chemistry/drug issue at the core.

KJ is on a much higher plane of intelligence and this scares George Maloof, the brains of the Maloof operation....yes, I know, hehehe. KJ has kicked George Maloofs teeth down his throat too many times and Maloof wants to hit the reset button before he's drinking his solids for good.

Is that something temporary, as in if George actually kicked his habit he might become sane once again? If sane they might sell, if not they might attempt to sue.

How can they not be forced to sell if they not only don't negotiate in good faith, but it's gotten to the point no one can even deal with them? Stern has got to do something here.

It'd be difficult to prove they didn't negotiate in good faith. You'd have to have concrete evidence e.g. communications between them and Anaheim which they have probably destroyed.

I've thought the same thing more than once.

George isn't playing with a full deck. Some of the things he says just don't stand up when you look at the record. I wonder if at some point he's going to totally lose it and start screaming and yelling...

Um, aren't there 4 brothers? George, Joe, Gavin and Phil? I know I could look in one of my back media guides, but unless my memory is completely gone, I'd swear there are four of them.
