What is your most boldly optimistic projection of Tyrese Haliburton’s ceiling?

Bagley, Holmes, and Barnes all came up with double digit rebounds--Buddy had 9. Think they received a talking to before the game?

I haven't watched many of the games recently but I hear the Kings changed their defense and offense up.

More man to man on defense ? Less switching ?

But gotta give it to Walton, he coached a really good game today, made good plays out of timeouts.

Also called timeouts at the best possible times.

Still would love to see less CoNo, but that is not gonna happen.

i especially liked zone defence that we played for a short stint... confused them a bit, earned some possessions...

Yeah, way more extended pressure and man to man. They still get caught on bad help at times and play zone when they don't need to but probably just to try and trick the other team as a change up. They still switch but they finally figured out that switching means playing tighter man to man, not zone. Walton is also relying on his closer lineup of Fox, Buddy, Haliburton, Barnes, and Holmes. I saw some stats where that is like a top 5 unit in the entire NBA or was at one point. They also pressure the passing lanes better and with Haliburtons ability with that it's a huge asset.

Smells like some win differentials

Ys, indeed. They're winning a lot of close games. That's awesome. Good teams pull out more than their fair share at crunch time. But good teams also sprinkle in some blowouts among their wins. Kings not doing that. A 15-pt win against Portland and 14-pt win against Orlando are their biggest wins of the season so far.

Not to get greedy or anything....

*Fox is kicking our ass

*We have to get some stops.Hailburton is a damn good rookie and he can keep this up until the finish if we don’t slow him down

Answer to the first message
*He's averaging 26/8 in their 6-1 stretch, and 30/9 on 51/36 shooting in his last 4, so I had zero expectation of these guys containing him sadly

*OMG,Fox has more points than minutes.

*Beautiful break down by Fox

*Fox is a stud. Without Pat Bev we have zero chance slowing him down.

Answer to the last message.
*Yea, he's a tough cover and doing pretty well lately that even with Bev he could have still gone off.

*We need youth. All 30 or over lineups can't catch with guys like Fox.

Montes phone will be ringing off the hook regardless. Hopefully he works those jedi mind tricks again and sells them on a Bjelica/Cojo package instead, haha.
If this continues, Monte may need to take a look at combining Bjelica, Cojo and or Jabari to obtain a guy to replace Cojo in lineup. I know Derrick Rose just got dealt.......someone like that instead of draft pick type of deals.

If we continue to play like this, no one outside of Belly will be traded. We won't want to disrupt chemistry like last time...

I agree, but on the flipside Monte should be open to everything. There might be a chance to add something. As for Bjelica they've buried him so his only value now is likely as an expiring. I'm sure some teams would love to add him but they'll wait for a buyout. The question now is does Monte want to add to the cap? The Kings do have some expiring dollars here. They have a first rounder that's losing some value here as well so maybe adding a mid rung 1st rounder to the mix of expiring dollars could net them a nice piece to put on the playoff push pile?

I mean if we did a trade how about Belly Cojo and 2 second rounders for Evan Fournier? He and Hali would be a good pairing in the second unit. Trade machine predicts +6 wins

That would be the type of deal you could pull off. The thing is, yes, the Kings will have SOME cap space likely but again, is it worth playing that game again? Sure, they scored on Whiteside but he'll be looking for pay bump I'm sure.
