Okay, fellow Kings fans. I know it's early, but I just wanted to make sure everyone prepares their favorite snacks, has their beverages on ice, dons their Kings apparel AND has all their lucky charms, etc. in their proper positions.

My prediction is that tonight could be a tough game. The Kings are expected to win and they're coming off a big blowout. These are the games that worry me the most, so I think we all need to send Good Vibrations (feel free to hum the Beach Boys classic if you wish) towards Arco.

For those of you heading out to attend the game, yell loud and keep them focused!!!

As usual, I will be doing the OFFICIAL ;) Kingsfans.com PBP. As usual, the thread is possible because of the dedication and devotion of our board owner, Jeremy. If you'd like to help defray some of the costs of keeping Kingsfans.com online, please check your User CP. In the Miscellaneous section, there's a link to the Paid Subscription section. Become a Contributing Member of Kingsfans.com... you'll be glad you did! (There's a thread at the top of this forum that tells you about it, too.)

Now, get ready and I'll be back in time for the game...

I'm attempting to watch the House Party... The mere introduction is enough to make one lose one's lunch - and breakfast - and dinner from two weeks ago.

This show needs DRASTIC work. I'm not sure what's worse - the set when the Kings are on the road OR the cheesy camera shots of fans waving wildly behind Kara and Koz standing on the concourse.

Just as a side note, I still have a warm spot in my heart for the Boston Celtics. Growing up in Sacramento, I followed them as closely as possible. They were my favorite team from 1964 to 1985... and probably still would have been had we not gotten our own team.

Coming up next on the pre-game show, Koz and Kara are going to "break down the high pick and roll."

Basically, it boiled down to Kara telling Koz that if Pierce and GP are running the pick and roll, Webber has to step out to slow Payton down to give Bibby a chance to break up the screen...

Not exactly a tutorial on WHAT the pick and roll is, but what the heck. ;)

They just showed Pedja, sitting on the floor stretching out his leg muscles. They came in for a close-up. He appears to be growing his beard, I'm guessing in homage to Vlade. It doesn't look good, IMHO...

They're showing the Kings doing their final warm-ups. Guys shooting from the perimeter, etc. Chris is standing at the line, tossing up AND MAKING free throw after free throw after free throw.

:D

Trivia question: Only two players in the history of the NBA have reached the 8,000 assists/8,000 field goal mark. Paul Pierce is one. Who is the other one?

John Stockton?

Keys to the game:

1. Wear out the glove
2. Limit Pierce bailouts
3. Pedja must score!

Thanks again VF for taking the time to do the play by play. Appreciate it. I only get to watch nationaly televised games, so I appreciate it.

Celtics: Welsch and laFrentz, Blount, Pierce and Payton.

Kings: Usual starting line-up.

And, once again, the team is WAY ahead of the public address announcer as the players are announced.

mazzystar - You're entirely welcome!

I'm just glad DishNetwork picked up Comcast so I can do these threads.

piksi - Please use your own thread, okay? And BTW - the keys to the game were Jerry and Grant's, not mine.
