[Game] Kings @ Cavaliers - 2/8/16 - 4 PT, 7 ET

Okay, this is just wrong. DMC has played his heart out night after night and gotten what...exactly jack effing squat. Saying he folds at the first sign of adversity is not true. But hey, keep kicking him... he's an easy target.
im not blaming it all on Cousins, the organization has been complete crud for the last decade. I just think it is too late. They had a chance if they could suck it up and play through Karl's bad system, make the playoffs and take it from there. But nope, they would rather get Karl fired mid season and throw away the season. Time to blow up the Cousins era in Sactown. Get back some young pieces with WCS, Ben and some of the solid vets we already have signed and I gaurantee you we will see better effort game in game out that what we get now.

Well it will be interesting to see what the new coach does with this roster, and if they can turn it around what folks have to say about the players then...

Even if the new guy they bring in, or have one of the assistants take over, the fact of the matter is the three best players on this team just do not mesh well together. They are too buddy buddy amongst themselves and don't hold each other accountable enough when they mess up, which is frequent.

I still say, what coach is going to want to coach this team??? I'm all for getting rid of Karl, but on the other side of the coin, playing devil's advocate, I will also say, that a "good" coach isn't going to want to coach a team that just fired a hall of fame coach.....
Again, I'm with you all, but because of the rapid fire way we fire coaches, the chance of finding a good coach is significantly diminished.

Welp, he only hit six, that means you have to buy the first round, right?

Asterisk, 6 in 3 quarters, only played like 30 seconds in the 4th.

So beer's on Karl.

You don't need a head coach with a track record to succeed. There have been plenty of coaches who have done okay for themselves such as Frank Vogel, Brad Stevens, Scott Brooks, Dave Joeger, Steve Kerr, etc. They all have principles they abide by and their organization support them for it, you just need to do your homework and not keep bringing in dead weights that have no idea what they are talking about and do not practice what they preach.

There's a real good reason nobody jumped on Karl when he was fired from the nuggets. Vivek just panicked and jumped at his resume', and forgot the fact that he had to do a proper coaching search

All I will say is people are delusional if they think the only thing wrong with this team is George Karl. I want Karl gone as much as the next guy but in no way does that fix the team.
I really, really hope that you are wrong, but I am afraid you are right.

So, I guess we're making a big deal out of how Rondo is the thirtieth player ever with 6000pts, 5000ast, 3000reb and 1000stl... And all I want to know is, what the hell kind of arbitrary record is that? #StatsRunAmok

We need something to be excited about.

I'm gonna keep picking my "Troy Daniels" prediction award for most games though. I was actually having a bit of fun cheering JR tonight, gave me something to do.

At least we don't have to worry about making the playoffs now and getting knocked out of the first round. Unless there is a shocking miracle, playoffs aren't happening.

If the season is actually over (I don't think it is yet) it will be because George Karl wasn't fired soon enough, not the other way around. We had a nice little feel good win streak there while DeMarcus was the best player in the league, but the problems we have right now are the same problems we've had all season long.

Vivek panicked? Do we really need to bump the thread where we got Karl? 90% of this board wanted Karl. We threw a freaking parade for the guy and held a reception at Firestone. Can't blame this on Vivek.

Exactly, I remember when Karl was hired, this board hopping with excitement.....I think that we ALL admit that Karl was a great coach(nobody is that stupid not to agree), but two things are going on here, either #1, he's just not a good fit for Sacramento, or #2, his old age is catching up and he just doesn't have the coaching smarts he use to. Because nobody can deny that he WAS a great coach.

Tonight Clips beat Philly by 6, Denver lost to Brooklyn by 1. Only team getting stomped every night of late is in a death spiral Kings. This laughing stock mess has to end!

So because this board was excited about karl, that absolves vivek of the hire? HUH?
Yes, most here (me included) were excited. We got caught up in the moment. AND, we were wrong.

To be fair the Karl excitement started with media who kept calling it a no brainer, much of which may have been getting a large dose influence from camp Karl. So once the media called the rhythm a lot of fans beat the drums, including pressure from season ticket holders.

Omri tries, he just sometimes tries too hard (like Cisco used to do). Quincy would try, which begs the question why he is nailed to the bench. This is a huge cluster-**** right now. Trying to figure it out will just give you a headache ... and most likely nightmares.
I have literally for the whole season been asking WHy Quincy is not the first big off the bench if Karl actually played guys based on merit Marco should not be playing ahead of Curry let alone Ben and KK has not been played better than Acy nor is he a better fit next to Cousins/WCS. He's been to busy playing favourites rather that rewarding players who play well/compete.

And please don't blame boogie he had to drop monster numbers just to get on a mini win streak, and even if he does get big games we still lose
Its not about stats! Its about effort, being engaged, giving a crap and Cousins' hasn't been like that for 75% of this season. Very crappy start to the season in that aspect, then he needed to make a all star push and we saw a monster three week stretch. Then he was named an all star and its like those three weeks never happend. Back to trotting up and down the floor, being slow on rotations or just missing them all together. We all know how talented he is and when you have a usage rate like him he is going to put up numbers regardless. Cousin's stats this year have been mostly empty aside from a few games here and there and that great stretch in January. Thats it, he has had a sup par season otherwise.

Yet with his measurable impact on-off, that should tell you just how ineffective the rest of the team has been
