The whole thing has always been janky. Almost from day 1 Vivek has had his minority owners attempt to push him out. There might be a reason for that. I'm not totally bought in though. I don't think Vivek is some puppet master pulling the strings on this garbage truck, but he doesn't seem to buy into salesmanship too easily.

Whatever he's doing, it does not create a winning culture for a pro sports team

It has nothing to do with Vivek or anybody. We just don’t have that star guy. We had one with cousins and had nothing around him. We got some #3 guys and maybe if you squint hard enough we got a #2

Really don't get why this isn't hard. Hire the basketball prez and let him establish the personal as he sees fit. If it goes wrong, he's on the hook. Until we finally get the organization all on the same page and under the same regime, these problems are going to continue.

If I recall correctly, the logistics and day-to-day management of Silicon Valley is run in a similar way to what he's been doing.

Davion still out here playing. Been the primary assignment on Rubio and he's basically been the one guy who isn't teeing off on us.

I have bad news: Luke Walton was NOT the problem.

He wasn't THE problem but oh boy, he was a HUGE problem. Gentry even if winning doesn't result will likely not have your highest paid players looking mediocre on their best day. Walton in a rebuild would be the worst thing ever. Ask LA.

Not that much the last 10 years or so the Kings have built around two slightly above average players Cousins/Fox who lead you to 11th seeds and surrounded them with average wings who disappear for long stretches' in Barnes/Gay and teams becomes much better as soon as they leave. It's the same mistake over and over. Paying max to guys like Cousins/Fox is suicide.

RE: Rudy Gay: the Kings didn't. The Spurs didn't either.

He was, but more like he should have been the first and biggest domino to fall.

Along with basically everything that had Vlade stink on it.

You get rid of a GM, his guys go. Vivek doesn't learn. He literally let the same thing happen with Karl. He was PDA's pick, Vlade needed to let him go. There is no way to smoothly pull that bandaid off. Vivek just found out that waiting longer just makes it worse with the Walton situation.
