Kings can win next 3

Sonics 0-3, Cavs 1-2, Minny 0-2

I think this has to be an ideal home stretch. I mean no texas teams that usually helps. If we ever needed some help from sacramentos fans now would be that time. I know we are down on kings alittle....but these teams are young and I think we have a good chance to win them all!

padding stats are we? trying to hit that 1,000 mark huh? in most cases i would say the next 3 are winnable games. but after watching the first 3, i will now say that these next 3 arent winnable at all. winnable means that there is a chance to win. there have to be factors there that support the idea.

the sonics and wolves games are winnable... but i dont know about the cavs...

i dont know about the cavs...

Agreed. I don't like the sound of LBJ, Gooden and ZI against Salmons, Mikki and Brad. Miller might hold up against Ilgauskas, but the other matchups are really NOT in our favor. They're 1-2 because they lost games against Phoenix and Dallas, but they're still the defending Eastern Conference champs, not the worst team in the NBA.

Wilcox and Collison will have field days against us tomorrow
Gooden will easily get his season high in points and rebounds
Al Jefferson will go for 30 and 20

we need some powerforwards...SERIOUSLY

I haven't seen Minny play yet, but Lebron is going to demolish our frontcourt and Seattle may be 0-3 but they could have won all three of those games. Not the case with our 0-3 start. We might have a chance against Minnesota. Then again, they have Al Jefferson. More likely we go 0-7 till Artest gets back.

Well they are all winable ON PAPER. In the real world fans of each of these teams is looking at the upcoming game against the Kings and marking it winable... and they really have the greater right to do so. This was at best a marginal team WITH Ron, and Mike and one of the hopes to make it that way Hawses. The level of paly with ou hese guys has deservedly earned the Kings the bottom rung of the NBA ladder. If I were to take a guess I'd say the Kings will likely win ONE of those, probably the opener against the Sonics (which rasises the question will they keep that name in OK?) Kings might win 2 but are very unlikely to get all three.

This may prove to be a temporary reprieve, but three games into the season the sole bright spot we've established is the fact that we have a mini-scoring trio in Martin, Garcia and Salmons. But then again, in all of those games we have been down big, and suffice to say teams may not be taking us literally, seeing us as a cakewalk and allowing at least Garcia and Salmons to put up stats on purpose. Stats are clearly more meaningful when the game is down to the wire, and thus it's been hard to gauge our major core as of now. What we do know is this: Garcia has clearly improved and has proven to be a jack-of-all trades player which at times includes being out of control and leaving shooters open, and Salmons' clearly has some level of go-to scoring ability and definite PG skills to stick in as a combo guard. I certainly don't expect them to maintain those numbers over the course of the season, but they've improved. K-Mart...he's bearing the brunt of the damage, having his numbers suffer as a result of constant double/triple teams with Bibby and Artest gone.

That being said, Seattle is winnable. Cleveland...doubt it. Minnesota is clearly winnable, but then again even their talent and potential looks much more enticing than our current core.

I think this is where fans have a tendency to swing from one extreme to another. From ludicrous optimism to over the top pessimism. The OP is right that the next three are all winnable. Coming home will help. Playing two of the three teams in the West arguably down at our level will help. And the Cavs, LeBron aside, are boring as dirt, and seem to be even bored of themselves already.

Now does that mean we win them, all of them? That I highly doubt. We suck eggs. But it would be something of a fresh embarassment to lose all three of them. This is a very soft stretch full of teams who are trying to figure it out themselves.

(of course the real irony is if we do win 2 of the 3 or some such there will be fans who will swing right back around and flitter about talking playoffs again -- manic-depressive disorder methinks)

When in the hell is Justin coming back. with the way we are playing. I be willing to bet he would be getting 25 min a game right now. Especially since Watkins is getting 15 to 20

Wrong mental disorder methinks :p

More of a hysterical personality but close enough. Haven't checked DSM -IV since I retired in 2000. Good prediction on the reaction.

I just smell a letdown in the home opener.

Collison and Wilcox will completly obliterate Mikki SAR9 and Durant is going to have the game of his early career.

LeBron and Co, no matter how lame a team they are, will beat us. A true leader and talent like LeBron will feast on the 'competition' that we offer.

We'll beat the Wolves for our first win of the year.

1-5

Sounds good.

I hope we start winning. Tomorrow would be nice. I broke down and bought NBA League Pass tonight! I'll be optimistic for the Kings to win at least two of the three.
