Kings at Jazz 11/21/2010, 6PM

again, the defensive effort has been pretty good so far and the offense looks better tonight.....as long as the shots are falling

It looks like the offense actually has a purpose tonight, even if they aren't doing too great. They are running it a lot, lot better. Still a bit slow getting it going sometimes though. More often than not it seems it isn't until the 10-12 second range that they are in their spots and start running the offense.

Our rebounding goes to **** when Dalemberts out, Cousins has to be back over there by the time they shoot their second shot.

less than ten seconds on the clock and the ball hadn't even been inside of the three point line... our offense needs slashers.

yeah, i like greene starting but i want casspi to be the spark off the bench

Completely agree. For some reason I can just invision Casspi coming off the bench and destroying teams. I am not sure if he can do that if he is with the starting unit though with more scoring options ahead of him. Off the bench, especially with the way Beno likes to attack into the elbow area then either shoot or kick it out, it sets up Casspi's game perfectly.

The bench unit = suck. We gotta mix it up with starters, they're blowing it.

Also, I've missed the first quarter and a half, but it would appear that Landry is doing a great job on Millsap. I am pleasantly surprised!

I think mid-season we will see more cutting and slashers. Right now, especially with Cousins on the floor it appears that we try to drag guys away from the key to free him up. Having guys cut around him is probably too much for the team to focus on at the moment. Too many things to be aware of and very easy to drag your defender onto Cousins to help when people are cutting. When they get more familiar with how each other play, they will know when it is safe to cut without hurting our post players.

CJ Miles is in god mode right now... I saw him go 5/5 from three against portland in the 4th quarter the other day.

Beno, Casspi, JT andd Cousins are a pretty good bench unit in my opinion. The Jazz second unit is just on fire right now. When you look at our bench it's hard to say they don't have talent, just have a bit of a problem using it together at this point.

I meant presently, not in general :p

All four of those guys are super streaky though. And lesser defenders than our starters.

Haha yea, I think super streaky is an understatement too... Beno is pretty solid with running the offense but it is always going to be a struggle with the second unit on defense. I guess if you wanted to look on the positive side it would be that JT and Cousins foul so much it doesn't take too long for our defensive stoppers to get in!
