Kings are stupid if they trade Peja + Bobby for Odom.

Bottom line is either Pejas role must change or the roster be changed. Staying the same will not improve the teams chances. I'd rather give Peja to the Lakers if they still had Shaq if it would help us improve.
HEY! No one, NO ONE wanted Shaq more than I did. Yes, even I would drop my Laker-hater scruples for Shaq. :D

I'm all for moving Peja for the right piece, believe me. I think he needs a home, and Sacramento is no longer it for him (as long as everything remains as it is). But I would bet my hardest earned dollar than Peja is rejuvinated upon departure. Do YOU want to see that happen in LaLa land? NOT ME!

*shudders at the thought of peja being "rejuvenated" in the same way that vinsanity was "rejuvenated" upon receiving his trade*

Cannot wait for Peja to be traded so he can make all of you eat your words just like Vince did it to Raptors fans.

After everything he has done he is still getting bashed...

GP make it happen please!

So you think, with all we've seen, that Peja would suddenyl turn into a playoff performer in Lakerland? Not even the most optimistic Lakers fan is willing to take the leap -- reason most cited why they don't want Peja? Chokes in the playoffs. Not sure I 100% agree, but he could be our great Trojan Horse to forever lay low the Lakers -- slip them a mickey for their playoff hopes. Eveyr year Peja looks great...then the playoffs rolla round and Kobe goes home to cry in the arms of the hotel attendant of his choice. :D

Besides which, we are the Kings. I could give a damn whether the Lakers are the #2 team in the NBA as long as we get to #1. Be MUCH better if Odom played for somebody else (actually giving them Bobby seems more wrong to me than Peja), but you have to take talent wherever you can find it, and other than KG Odom is a pretty much unique.
I understand how most here feel about Odom, I like him too. I've seen him hurt us in the paint. He's a little bit of a headcase that is obviously in repentant form, but that's okay. Okay, call him unique...with probably even more potential than he has shown, I agree. But, why not wait until later? I don't want to do this. ESPECIALLY if we have to throw in Bobby, we are just forgetting what he brings--since he hasn't been bringin' it much lately--all for Odom. Stop and think about that, our number 2 scorer and B-Jax for ODOM. Just can't make me excited for some reason.

I would like to think one trade will get us to number one, but I'm not convinced that will happen, just my 2 hard cents.

That is one of the reasons why Kings are reluctant

peja and bobby for odom would be a great trade for sacramento in MY opinion.

what are the biggest weaknesses of the kings??? REBOUNDING, defense, lack of athletisism ( ok so i botched that spelling)

lamar is 2 years younger then peja, he rebounds at a double digit rate, he plays in the post ( something that only webber really does) he's long, athletic. he could seriously help plug a few of our holes. imagine having a frontcourt all capable of averaging at least 10 boards a night??? we are always complianing about peja never rebounding, the kings wound be replacing his PATHETIC 4 boards a night with 10. that is a GOOD thing, helps the kings.

peja is my favorite king, i'm not afraid to admit it. but if he were traded to help the kings as a team improve, well thats how it goes. and while i would HATE to see him wearing that barftastic laker yellow, if the kings are beating them on the court and in the standings, i'd be one happy evenstar. of course the kings would miss peja's sweet outside stroke, but most of our team are jumpshooters, having someone inside to change the look of the team would make us harder to guard, get the outside shooters more open looks. and peja rarely shows up in the playoffs, trading that away can't hurt.

i would hate to lose bobby, but the injuries are making it so bobby isn;t really on the team.

i would have done this deal.

Yes, Vince has really shown those Toronto fans -- what an umitigated dog and disgusting pile of crap he is as a competitor. Get paid millions of dollars, MY dollars, and then dog it? The only unfortunate thing is that the Raptors don't still have Oakely to explain how unacceptable that is to him when he comes back to town.

If Peja suddenly revives after leaving the Kings that says a lot about him. And none of it good.

Totally wrong and inciteful at the same time.

Some of you Peja fans need to realize that this isn't pejafans.com It's KINGSFANS.com and most of us here are team fans. We love the Sacramento Kings. We didn't start this whole mess with Pedja, if you recall. HE started it; he said he didn't want to play for our team, he didn't want to be here, etc. A lot of us were pretty hurt over it, but we forgave him because we LIKE him. We enjoy watching him as part of our team, etc. But something changed. Pedja was no longer going to be given a free pass for not performing up to his previous standards. Excuses notwithstanding, Pedja had played his "get out of jail free" card with the fans.

And you know what? People STILL made excuses for him, even though he had pretty much spit in our faces. We still cheer him, we root for him, we wish him well.

And now what happens? A small minority of very vocal Pedja fans comes here and decides we're in the wrong. We should bow down and worship at his feet and gut our entire team to make him feel needed. Thankfully, MOST Pedja fans and Pedja himself don't express those sentiments. People like you, however, who seem so bent on us regretting his departure are ACTUALLY why some long-time Kings fans will most likely be relieved to see him leave.

Pedja is getting bashed? Oh, give me a break. He's getting called on the carpet a little because his performance has not been up to his own standards. Why shouldn't he be subject to the same criticism as any other player on this team? You want to see bashing? Go back and read all the hateful things posted about Chris Webber. Chris Webber. You know, the one who said he sincerely hoped he had earned the right to retire as a King? The one who talked the talk and is now walking the walk? The one who survived what could very easily have been a career-ending injury and has come back because of dedication, resolve and heart?

This whole "poor little Pedja" thing is ridiculous. It's unfair to us, it's unfair to the team and it's really unfair to Pedja because he's taking the heat for the comments of a few of his fans who don't have a clue about Sacramento or the Kings.

Pedja is a nice guy; he's respectful; he's funny; he's a joy to watch on the court. It's a shame A FEW of his fans can't represent him in a manner befitting him.

All the talk about Peja's underachievement so far this year, I think he's just tremendously UNMOTIVATED. I don't even think he has it in him to "dog" it, sadly (or not). His lack of motivation is translating into underachievement, which translates to lack of motivation...like a vicious circle.

Can't really compare him to Carter, imo. Real lack of maturation, or whatever you want to call it. What can you say about a player/man who can't speak up for himself? VC is far from that. Peja IS that. VC is despicable, Peja is just lost.

Well and fairly said. My final say in this whole matter is that by Thursday, if GP knows what's good for the Kings (and I think he does), Webber or Peja should be gone.

you know if artest werent suspended.... this wouldnt be a problem because we'd have artest....

Dobra si. You never cease to amaze and surprise me ;)

By the way, you inspired me to make my avatar a picture of when I met Vlade ten years ago (when I was 11 years old).
