His body control and spatial awareness is amazing to me and stands out even more after watching this video. If his defender is the slightest bit out of position he always takes advantage of it. I would guess this comes from the fact that he has never been the quickest player, making his positioning that much more important.

He is a special player, fun to watch. I hope he takes off this year after an injury plagued season. Makes Petrie's free agent decisions easier next year too because he'd be looking for more complimentary players rather than "star's."

Link is down?? :(

as an aside, I agree with the OP, this has been one of the best Evans mixes out there since it popped up this summer. One of those likes on it is mine and I added it to his Scouting Report back in Sept. after I saw it.

Now if he could just come back from this summer with a jumper. Unfortunately in the only summer scrimmage I saw him in I wasn't wildly encouraged on that front, but it would sbe so nice not to have to talk about that anymore. His driving ability is practically unparallelled, but we are always stuck talking about the obvious hole in his game and will be until it heals up to at least average.

I REALLY want to see some new videos of Tyreke and his improved Jumper. Every report from anyone that saw Tyreke play in any of the pick up, or charity games reported that it looked MUCH better, and was coming along nicely. I really want to see that.

I'll take your word for it since you're in his circle.

First I saw him this summer in the gym knocking down shot after shot from deep range.... Noticed his wrist really snapping in his follow through every
Time and affront to look consistent. But I wasn't 100% convinced because I've seen him shoot like that before, before games and then during the game abandon everything he was focusing on.

Then I saw him in action during the charity games, jumper still looking
really really good.looking like the same exact thing from when he was doing drills. It's not gonna be perfect alot of people will still complain about his form and fading away
but it's been going it that is for sure and its consistent. Hes putting a little
Bit more arc on the ball, letting it float Into the basket if that makes sense, rather than just trying to force the ball in the hoop like it has looked in the past.

He's confident as ever in it. Let's see if it all holds up against NBA level defense. I'm pretty much sold right now it will.

The thing about Tyreke is....his handles are so FORKING good that if he can develop a consistent jumper he would be one of the biggest scoring threats in the league. He is one of the best basketball players I have ever seen in creating space. The problem is, in the past he has had to create space so he can get a lane to get by somebody. If he can consistently hit his jumper, you might look up 'unguardable' in wikipedia and see his face. His dribble drive fake step back ALWAYS gets the person guarding him off balance. But then he has no confidence in his jumper so he goes ahead and drives into the lane at which point the defense collapses on him and he has to go through 3-4 guys to get to the rim.

I hope Reke has improved his jumper. I've seen several of his highlights which included him hitting 3 pointers, but those are only highlights.

I would LOVE to see Reke to have an improved BBIQ. By BBIQ i mean decision making, for the new season. I think that's his weakest point, and if he can improve in that aspect, it would help out his driving game immensely. I wouldn't even give a damn about his jumpshot if he improved in his decision making abilities. That would be a huge step forward.

If he had a reliable jumpshot, he would probably be unguardable with only 1 defender on him.
But relating to your last point; the question is, why would he go through 3-4 guys? Just pass the ball ! Somebody's bound to be open.
