Kings announce Summer League Roster featuring KEEGAN MURRAY(?)

Was so surprised by Keegan being on the roster that I didn’t notice Kessler was also playing too.

Neemy
Keegan
Kessler
Colby
Keon
is a really fun starting five and that’a Not even taking into account Slawson and the Stockton guys who’re playing and the UDFAs we picked up like Mutts and Stephens

I’m surprised he is playing. Don’t really see the point as summer league is largely for evaluation. He had plenty to work on but maybe they are hoping to give him experience leading a team. Or we are showcasing him

The only unannounced UDFA rookie pickup that I see on this roster is Colby’s Xavier teammate Souley Boum

The more likely answer is that we wanted to give the fans a reason to show up to the Cali Classic without use having a big name FRP this season so we called in the Keegs

Might just be the young guys bonding too as a team chemistry thing. Edwards obviously didn't need to show-up, just got his contract guaranteed. And Keon and Queta still have yet to get their contracts picked up, so I think this is a pretty big tell we're grabbing their QO. Would they really go risk game reps without a contract?

Oh good Chance Commanche is back! I saw near the end of last season the Trailblazers signed him.

Mike 'The Dauminator' Daum is the old man on the squad? Great. I'm usually not a fan of the oldest player they have in SL but he should be fun. With him and Mutts this squad has a nice blend of bigs who can shoot, we're gonna be launching 3's for sure.

though Queta is obviously gonna get a huge showcase at C, and I'd imagine Jake Stephens would too so the minutes are gonna be thin for these guys..

N I'm guessing they just want Keegan to knock a little rust off, they'll probably play him 1 game and if he does great shut him down. Cuz looking at the roster, it sure seems like we'll be giving Kessler Edwards, Neemias Queta and Colby Jones a lot of run is gonna be the priority and possibly Keon Ellis (whos listed at 6'5)

To me this squad looks like its well built for the 6'6" shooters, Alex McConnell and Dane Goodwin to get open looks n knock them down, thats really how this team makes a run in the SL i'd think

Ohhhh. He's actually pretty good.

Those who remember the tournmanet well will recall Xavier had A LOT of trouble vs Kennesaw State in the first rd, from what I remember Boum stepped up in that 2nd half to steady the ship and pull out a win, after a complete disaster in the first half.

5th year senior guy, turns 25 at the end of January.

I mean I get some people are like "OMG WHAT IF HE GETS HURT???" but I do feel practice like this and real game reps are the best way to get better. And dudes play pick-up all summer long and people don't freak out about that.

What a fun defensive LU. Keon-Kessler-Keegan-Queta. Looks like Ford gets the first crack at the lead-guard and Jones/Slawson are with the subs.

Just have him run iso all game.

Don't see the issue with that

Dang, they all look tired as heck, haha. Pushing hard to get in shape.

Is there going to be be a beam in Vegas and the Cali Classic because that roster should be winning some games lol.
