Ya I’ve never heard of him but apparently he’s a 3-D guy with elite shooting Memphis was stacked
Someone inform Matt George that you can't compare defensive rating numbers across different teams.

Here's his last few games at a glance...A 6’8 forward who can shoot the 3 and defend? Not getting overly excited since I don’t know anything about him but yay! Sounds good on paper
I think Carter is your back-up point. But I am hoping we sign Ben Simmons as a back up point. We might be one of the few teams where he really would fit.
We should have his Bird rights he played 3 seasons on this contract. But for whatever reason, I guess because 2nd round picks work different, we won't have match rights. So that can't go to LaRavia?
It’s the HG situation. We’re capped at 5.8 million per year For Laravia. So that can't go to LaRavia?
No that’s the difference in jones and Len contract vs Jake’s
I guess we should be happy... the headline on my fantasy basketball app says it's a Smart deal!
Jake LaRavia sent to Kings as part of Smart deal
Today 2:09 PM | Rotoworld
Jake LaRavia has been traded to Sacramento in deal that will send Colby Jones, Alex Len and 2028 second-round pick to Memphis as part of the trade that sends Marcus Smart to Washington.
So no Bird? The tweet said that LaRavia declined the option, not Memphis? Is there no distinction? It’s the HG situation. We’re capped at 5.8 million per year For Laravia.
No bird.So no Bird?
Yeah, he's got skill. Not a game changer but maybe the Kings get a 2nd rounder with him?
Ellis is a much better ballhandler than Carter at this point. The plan could be to just play those two for all the backup guard minutes, but ideally they'd sign one more guard.
I can't see Ben Simmons signing in Sacramento. It just doesn't fit with what we've learned about him previously. My guess is that he ends up with the biggest market team that offers to sign him.

Sign him for one year at this and give him more the following year. If he's proved himself this year, and the next, it makes sense for both parties. I don't think we'll be outbid by a ton this summer so it should be good enough for us to get him for another year. It’s the HG situation. We’re capped at 5.8 million per year For Laravia.
He'd have the second best defensive rating after Keon on the Kings. So in other words, pretty good. He’s looked good in the times I’ve seen him, but..thaf’s against the Kings lol
How’s his defense?
I mean loading up on cheap players with upside and trading away the successes for lottery picks. We need talent, not depth. You mean getting undervalued assets for cheap at positions of need with high upside? Nah, that's craaaaaaaazy.

Memphis team drtg is 4.5 points lower than ours, and I think if I looked at the numbers right he has higher (as in worse) than the team rtg of 110 and change. Ours is 115 and change. He'd have the second best defensive rating after Keon on the Kings. So in other words, pretty good.

I'm guessing odds are that he's not on the team next year. Either he performs really well for us and someone else picks him up for more than we are allowed to offer, or he falls flat on his face and we don't want him. Even so I guess the only thing of value is the 2nd round pick in the trade... we've blown those for far less so I guess that's OKSign him for one year at this and give him more the following year. Are you aware that there was no possibility of keeping Fox?I mean loading up on cheap players with upside and trading away the successes for lottery picks. We need talent, not depth.
Have you heard of a river in Egypt something blah blah blooey. Are you aware that there was no possibility of keeping Fox?

or use judiciously. This isn’t a worry, but folks need to be aware of the fact that the kings have been getting older with each trade and so our window gets more narrow unless we build a solid talent pipeline, which comes from good draft picks and a high-quality G league team. Both of which the kings have I’m happy to reportWe also kept our first round pick powder dry. 6 first rounders to trade
I thought that ended if he got traded? So the new team has to abide by those rules?
I'm anxious about the contract because LaRavia is a legit good prospect that's having a breakout season. Got to have the ability to keep him this summer
