this is an excerpt from the Athletic. Apparently Coach smoked a lay up after film session on Wednesday. Sounds like he gave the basket too much respect and layed it up soft. Should have dunked on somebody.

To me, the efficiency is nearly as important as the record itself.
It took Donovan Mitchell 550 attempts to set that record. Keegan broke it on 462 attempts.
Donovan was also given the reins to do whatever, like Banchero this season. Keegan did this as probably the fourth/fifth scorer on the starting unit.

Agreed. I'm very optimistic on his future. I don't see why he can't be an All Star in his mid-20s.

The corner 3's are a huge sign of his improvement as a player. That was lacking a bit in his college game.

Exactly. If the NBA were smart they would judge kids on how long since they stopped growing. Going from 6’ to 6’8” impacts a lot of things.

There is a relatively new metric by Cerebro sports I’ve been looking into. Domas has the 4th best “C-Rom” with 10.0 only behind Jokic, Embiid and I forgot the 3rd. One spot ahead of Giannis in 5th place. Keegan has a 6.1 which is the 3rd highest behind Kessler and Williams.

This was really great, dude just says all the right things. My favorite part is his main goal after the season is to become a really good defender. Says aggression is not an issue on offense and he knew he wouldn’t be the guy on the team this year and just wants to play his role. Can do a lot more on that end but chooses to make what he seems the right play instead.
And virtually all of them are within the flow of the offense, in the DHO, C&S. So what happens when he starts adding more of that on-ball game that honestly got him drafted at 4?
That's what has me the most stoked about Keegan. He was drafted as this utility forward who would be a glove fit as a modern 4 that could space decently well, post-up and efficiently score with a massive offensive workload. And he's basically become one of the best off-ball shooters in the NBA lol without accessing basically any of that scoring ability that made him a top 10 pick.
Honestly I don't think any of us who were jocking Keegs expected this level of 3 point shooting, there's no way his role won't expand, especially once you dig into how Brown laid out this season. I don't think he went into it expecting Keegan to assert himself as a starter immediately either.
Everything about him is the anti-Bagley it's wild to me that everyone was so concerned we were repeating that error. I just hope he makes the all rookie team and cracks the top 5 in the vote because kid deserves every recognition for what he's doing, quietly and without demanding attention for himself.
