I cannot stand this Keith brooks guy. Sounds like an annoying shock jock. Cannot listen to this sorry Dave. Get Your boy from CDNET back.
Oh lord. I really tried. Keith Brooks is both unlistenable and completely incompatible with Dave. And the format of the show is really bad as well.
Brooks and the producer are on the clock.
If you want to help Dave, call and email KHTK. Don't ask for Sean Thomas. Just say you can't stand Brooks.

Come on, we're the Sacramento Kings! Those lovable losers where fans don't care if the team ever makes the playoffs and are just happy to have an actual pro franchise!
Peaches and CD are right, never mind if you can see that the bridge is out and the train is still full speed ahead, at least we have a train!
The logic that the team was saved so we shouldn't be objecting to what clearly look to be terrible basketball moves is faulty. Yes, of course I'm grateful that the team stayed. Grateful to KJ, CD, Vivek and everyone else involved. But D'Allesandro was NOT responsible for saving the Kings. He is simply a GM that was hired after the team was saved and now appears to be making terrible move after terrible move.

you guys are so impatient. its only been one day. give it a year or 2 before you ask to fire the guy. you should be grateful you have dave at all. sound familiar?
i thought i was going to miss the show but had to drop off my son, good thing it was only a 5 min drive. listened to a couple mins of it and had to turn the station back to 1320. lucky me, the couple mins i heard was dave telling kings fans to shut up about PDA and used the, we just got the kings to stay excuse.

indeed. i'm grateful that the team stayed, as well. but i was as tired of watching a derelict franchise as i was of wondering whether or not the kings were leaving sacramento. the promise made by the new regime wasn't just that the kings would remain in sac, but that they would be reformed into a winner. and i'm seeing no indication that the new regime actually knows how to build a winner. my guess is that vivek ranadive is going to have to take his lumps as a new owner. he's going to have to do many things wrong (hiring inexperienced personnel, valuing players like monta ellis) before he starts to understand what it takes to get it right. a lot of years may pass in the interim, and a lot of lottery picks may still be in the future. demarcus cousins may have forced his way out of town by the time the kings' higher-ups figure it out, and mike malone may have taken his defensive pedigree to another team by the time the kings start winning again. it really sucks, because i thought the new regime would be up to the challenge, but it looks like more-of-the-same to me, and more-of-the-same was never going to catapult the kings into the playoffs...
Please, do not turn every freaking thread into THIS:

Then Brooks & CD should make a compelling BASKETBALL argument for these moves rather than telling fans not to criticize PDA simply because the team was saved.
And with Vasquez and Landry you could squint hard and see some logic even if you didn't agree with it. But Ellis?
Someone, anyone give me a legitimate reason why he will help the Kings. Or how he'll inprove the "culture" of the team.
Sure, lets just pick and choose when to use the argument. Only use it when it fits our argument and ignore it when it doesn't. ::Rolleyes:: Only reason it's brought up here is because Dave linked saving the kings with the personnel moves.
It was the first day of the show. Hopefully Keith Brooks will grow on me, although I'm definitely not going to be getting up early to listen to him... My first day reaction is that it would have been MUCH better with Sean Thomas, but I'll give him a bit of time.

Keith Brooks has been every bit this obnoxious as a local DJ for many years now (he was on the Zone, FM102, etc). I don't see him changing...and MY tolerance for him hasn't grown in the slightest.
I was highly disappointed when I heard CD was coming back with him. The show is just as bad as I feared.
Yeah, not a fan of Brooks. He comes off as a jerk to be honest.
