Keon should be on the main roster but I don't know if that means we shouldn't see what JTA has got?

He’s getting more and more comfortable with his role and his place on the team. Great to see. He can be a vital piece on this team moving forward.

In his first season as GM he didn’t draft any good 2nd round picks!
I think he basically "is" at this point and we're just taking advantage of his 2-way status to carry an extra guy on the roster. His 2-way status is basically up at the deadline right? Or just after?
If we don't shake anything up, then we'll just release JTA and then bring Keon up. But using his status to it's fullest capacity is the smart play.

Great breakout game by Keon on both ends of the floor. If that 3 keeps falling, we got a good player on our hands.

I expected this. He is a good shooter, so it was only a matter of time before he settled in and starting making shots

I feel like Davion was the defensive expert we needed for quite a long time, but as the rest of the Kings have caught up his skills are no longer making up for his height and offensive inconsistency. Enter Keon, who brings those extra inches and plays better offense, making him more valuable than Off Night now, even if he isn’t as skilled a defensive presence.

Mike Brown gave high praise to Keon Ellis. He repeatedly said that Ellis is not Bruce Bowen, but some of the defensive play from Ellis is Bowen-esque. Brown especially praised Ellis' ability to work around/through screens and pin downs.

should be noted that Mike Brown got a lot of the credit (probably unduly) for developing Bruce Bowen into the 3-and-D master that he wound up being.

Fox just noted that Keon is one of their best shooters in the drills they keep track of. Expect more good shooting nights, this is no fluke

He shot around 40 percent in the Gleague last year and Fox said he has been one of their better shooters in practice drills. So the potential appears to be there

practice can never mimic real game action so that means little to me but I didn't think he could shoot like that to begin with

They don’t mimic game action but if you aren’t making them in practice you aren’t making them in the game.

Put it this way. You're not going to see a guy be an effective shooter in the NBA, who is not one of the better shooters in their NBA drills. The ability to shoot the ball shows in practice first

plenty of players shoot well in practice and then suddenly can't shoot in the game. It boils down to conquering that mental hurdle.

Yeh it isn’t guaranteed to translate. I’m sure Keegan is splashing them in practice too. Still, it’s encouraging that they are going down

I think you missed the point. Fox expected this, based on what he's seen from Keon. He'd probably be a lot more surprised if someone like Kessler Edwards had this kind of shooting night
This question would never even have been thought of, much less asked, if this game happened two days ago.

sure, Fox expected this, he plays with him and sees him in practice. Me, as a fan wasn't expecting this though. Was he a shooter at Alabama?

I've liked everything about Ellis right from the get-go last year. Well, except one thing that has nothing to do with basketball. But I'm an old fuddy-duddy so take that into account.
For some reason, my wife thinks he is too small. I think it is because of his slight build but that just makes him fast and quick. Maybe she will listen to me at some point. (It would be the first time in 50 years.)
