Just for rebounding purposes I think KT gets the nod here. SAR's rebounding has been abysmal. Once we get Bonzi back, we should be a decent rebounding team.

Kenny as PF and SAR starting as SF would be better, It's not like Peja impacts the game by playing defense or offense anyways. SAR would be killing smaller guys down in the post.

I don't know about this rubbish about Reef taking the bench. Reef produced better numbers all around (except for the rebounds - KT has 8 <EDIT: Bumped it up to 9 last night> and Reef had 6.5) and was more consistant night to night.

It's easy to forget what Reef brought every night when KT steps in and plays decently.

I just don't like the notion of:
(A) Rewarding a guy for not performing off the bench and making it an issue.
(B) Putting Reef on the bench

Thomas should be de facto starter until Reef is healed.

Reef has been nothing but a warrior for this team and has still been the most consistant player. I just don't think you punish that. You also shouldn't take advantage of his team attitude and place him on the bench because he won't complain.

In my opinion, you have to OUTPERFORM the starter in order to take his role. I just don't see that Kenny has done that. He's had some doozy's ... but he hasn't outperformed Reef.

I'm wtih playmaker. KT shouldn't be rewarded for sucking off the bench and SAR shouldn't be punished for playing well off the bench. KT has been fine as a starter, his rebounding is definitely better than SAR's, but SAR's defense is better, and he's actually a low post presence and generates high percentage shots. KT does an admirable job posting up as long as he is playing against Luke Walton.

Once SAR is 100%, back to the starting job.

Wow...

What fickle fans. A few days ago, when he went for 22-15, one of the nicest comments made about KT was that it would improve his trade value. Now he's the man? I am not a Kings fan, I am a KT fan. And he has got nothing but crap from Kings fans since he was traded there. He didn't ask for the trade.

He was misused in college as a post player, and it has taken him a long time to change his game. He has had to lose a lot of weight, work on his shooting and ball handling. He has always been a great passer. And he has really improved his rebounding.

I'm glad to see fans starting to cut him some slack. He has always played in the shadow of star players (AI in Philly, Francis in Houston) and has not got the credit he deserves. Two years ago he averaged a double-double and he can do that as a starter.

This isn't about who gets rewarded for what. It's about what helps the team the most.

The last few games we've been spreading the floor very well -better than we have all season - Kenny's ability to pass from the high post (what a great job against LA) works better in that set. but Reef's ability to post up down low when our outside game isn't going works too. Regardless of who starts, I see lots of minute sharing depending on matchups. I know that usually doesn't suit Kenny b/c he likes to play no matter what.

Good game Kenny - national tv triple double = increased trade value. That's just the reality of it.

You won't see Adelman starting SAR and Thomas. One at PF and one at SF. It just won't happen. Grant has covered this as well on the radio. They are power forwards, and they will not play the SF position. If they do, we have more important things to worry about, because that means we're desperate.

By the way Garcia's 3's have been getting pretty consistant. Who was that guy who hit a nice clutch 3 in overtime. OH YEA!! That was Garcia.

not entirely true.

We acknowlledge good performance and also criticize bad ones

KT is a solid player but he is not a difference maker on a consistant basis. He can be pretty usefull against certain teams.

Also You have to understand that PF position here is measured by CW standards and those are high

We know that KT can put up good numbers. We just don't beieve that the team can as successful as we would like to.

And - every player is tradeable if that will benifit the team

I agree. I'm glad that KT has stepped it up, and I've never liked him more than I did last night in OT. But I have a real problem rewarding someone for pouting and pulling the "I'm not gonna play if I can't play my way." I won't put up with that from my kids, and I don't think an NBA player should be pulling it either. KT's perpetual complaining to the press and claims that he can't play well off the bench have really bugged me.
