Kenny Thomas only has 4 years remaining on his contract. Hoopshype has in error added an extra year to his deal at the exact same amount as the previous year.
Childress would be the deal that would make the most fiscal sense.
With Thomas, imo, the Bucks win more basketball games. Thomas is indeed a better player than Josh Childress and is ALSO an efficient scorer (50%fg) and a far superior rebounder. The Bucks need some toughness/aggressiveness in the frontcourt and Thomas certainly can provide that.
With Thomas on board, the Bucks would be better off trading Joe this offseason for depth at the 2/3.....Fred Jones? Maybe even Josh Childress if we're lucky. Now if the Kings would take Joe's expiring deal for Thomas (a good possibility since they really are looking to dump his salary), then the Bucks would still be able to offer Mags to Atlanta for Childress.
Kenny Thomas AND Childress are both within the realm of possibility.
