Pecking order is pretty important. You can have all the stacked talent you want, but who's the one player that gets the ball with 2 seconds left on the clock for the game-tying/game-winning shot? Who's the guy that should get the ball when we need buckets down the stretch.
The main issue that the Kings' offence has isn't that it's slow, or poor, or anything of that nature. It's that the entire team can tend to get cold at the most inopportune times. If there was a go-to player that we could count on to be selfish at certain times and make things happen when the rest of the team isn't shooting or scoring well, it would make the Kings a better player down the stretch.
But I digress, neither Odom nor Cook really is that kind of player.
