haha i just got a request from one of my friends that doesnt like nelson at all and figured i try to get sum support....lets beat golden state! and keep nelson on out of the second season! might as well ruin someone elses fun if we can!;)

Is the guy a Clippers fan or something? Dallas or the Suns will be happy to spank the Warriors, no need for us to.

Besides, who cares about Nellie?

I'd actually love to see the Warriors in the playoffs. I'm a Kings/49'ers/Giants fan, but I always support other Northern California teams when my favorites aren't in the running.

Don Nelson is actually one of the few non-Kings coaches I do like quite a bit. Always shows respect for his opponents. (Unlike some other coach with a first name that rhymes with Dill and a last name that ends with a "son.") Great innovator. Underrated by people like the Maloofs. :(

We should have picked him up instead of mussleman. Can we change it to keeping the kobes out instead?

No, I'd rather have the Kobe's in the PO (and blown out in the first round by Dallas/Suns) than have any chance at all for Oden/Durant.

Went to that game last night, can't blame Sacramento for having nothing to rebute against the "Let's Go Warriors" chant.

I remember it wasn't too long ago when there was only one Warrior fan in the stands in the lower level at Arco when the Warriors came to town and the Kings were making long runs in the playoffs.

Now it seems like Warrior fans come out of the woodworks.

Why in the world wouldn't you want Golden State to be in the playoffs? Besides the fact that they're perpetual losers ala the Clippers, they are probably the only team in the bottom tier to have a chance at stealing a game or two against Dallas.

Go Warriors!

I can't help but wonder how many of those chanting for the Warriors were actually Kings fans cheering for a lin.

My Mavs fan friend at work is cheering for the Clippers. He does not want to play the Warriors in the 1st round. He figures that the Clippers will be an easy sweep while the Warriors will give the Mavs fits and cause them to expend much more energy getting to the 2nd round.

Ditto, my buddy is a warriors fan and hes pumped up, and im all for it, so if we beat the clips i wont be TOO upset.

I really don't buy into that theory, 6th. When you're in Arco, you don't think about the lin...

Now back to the OP:

As far as rooting simply to keep Don Nelson out of the playoffs, that's just silly IMHO. The Kings are over for the season. As a Kings fan, I want what's best for my team. It certainly won't affect the Kings one way or another if Don Nelson's Warriors make it to the playoffs.

My wish for the rest of the year is to see lots of energy from the kids and no more wins. If it means losing to the Lakers to secure a much better draft pick, so be it. The Lakers aren't doing much to impress and won't get far in the playoffs anyway...

Bingo! and guess what team they may face in the 2nd round.

So I'll say it again, Go Warriors!

The Warriors were winning anyway, so hope the King's fans weren't participating in their cheer song. We had Warrior fans right in front of us and there weren't any King's fans in our section cheering with them--as a matter of fact, everytime they started their song, our section starting booing so loud we could no longer hear them. I could have cared less one way or the other about the booing, but cheering for another team is just crappy! Annie.

Actually, it was not really a theory. With all the comments in here about needing to lose games, and the angry retorts when the Kings play well and pull out a win, I just could not help but wonder if our own fans were cheering for the Warriors. I am VERY HAPPY to hear that did not appear to be the case. I am thrilled to know that the Kings fans who attend games at ARCO are still fans of our guys playing well.
