Keegan Murray

Agreed. Though a lot of that lack of aggressiveness, I think, stems from him being the last option in the offense on a team with good vets. Fox, Huerter, Monk, Barnes, Davion, TD and Domas are all capable of driving and kicking to open shooters so there's no reason for him to force anything. If he's open, he shoots it and if he's not he swings it. As his role increases in the next few years and some of those vets move on I think we'll see a lot more of the post-ups and dribble drive moves from Keegan that he used in college. And that will also bring more assists and offensive rebounds. He's doing exactly what we need him to do as a rookie -- focus on his shooting and defense and let the other elements of the game come in time. The ROY award is essentially meaningless -- Banchero will probably win it and I don't care, as long as we make the playoffs.
Tyreke Evans won ROY over Steph Curry.

It's a feel good story for bad franchises to have the rookie of the year, but outside of generational talents like Durant, Duncan, and LeBron, it doesn't guarantee future individual success, let alone team success.

Super off the topic post but seems like we're already half-way there talking about Chik-fil-a lol :p

I was reading half this sentence and had a nervous breakdown for a minute... 11.JPG

I like Keegan, I'm excited to have him as a King, and sometimes he's had some really nice finishes near the rim. But he also gets blocked a fair bit on drives and cuts and is going to have to add a little bit of craft as the season goes on.

he has to go stronger too. If he does he is going to get to the line more.

A little bit of craft? Dudes bag is as empty as shelves of childrens tylenol.

What's the story on this? I never heard of it.
Apparently Hali wanted to be drafted by the Kings so badly, his agent told everyone ahead of us to pass on him. Not entirely sure how true that is and it especially doesn't make a ton of sense because we're the Kings, but I'm fairly sure that was one explanation given as to why Hali fell so low in the draft

I don't know if it was that overt - but prospects can try to land in a spot they want by not working out some places, not sharing medical info etc.

I don't usually root for teams to not making the March Madness tourny but I'm hoping Iowa misses out. Kris Murray seems like the type of guy to go off in that tournament and play his way into being a lottery pick.
Keegan’s monster Big 10 Tourney pushed him into the 4th spot so we’re gonna need Kris to sit that out as well.
