We would actually have been a competitive team if Fox didn't lean into his sullen little ***** persona so hard the last two seasons.

We could trade Deebo, Zach is gonna be a huge expiring contract in a few seasons.

Domas isn't good enough to **** up a tank but would be an excellent "bridge vet" to have around if we do dip into the high lotto for a few seasons. Keegan, Keon, and Nique all look like great complimentary players.

Vlade left McNair Fox and a pile of crap.

But honestly, we both know that the state of the roster, assets and cap space isn't a GM problem, it's an owner problem. These have been consistent issues since Ranadoofus took over.

I understand. Yeah, i wouldn’t be mad at this and balance does need to be restored. I still think and hope DeMar is the one they send off to achieve this.

Sure I agree with Vivek why I say era….

I would argue Vlade left more than just Fox. Monte had all his 1st Round picks and a cachet of 2nd Rounders. Cap situation was not awful.

I think compared to what Scott walked into it was preferable. It’s close but I think a case could be made.
 
If we were actually any good, Keegan’s injury would be closer to sky is falling level stuff.

That said, good defensive role players aren’t difference makers on bad teams. We would be bad with him, we’ll be slightly worse without him. Hopefully he returns angry at the world because 2 months of his career were stolen from him.

There were so many bad decisions in the Monte era. You don’t get this bereft of wings without being spectacularly incompetent. And yes Vivek had a hand in a lot of it but that era was every bit as bad as the Vlade era when you look at where the roster stands now.

The players (and the coaches) should try to win. Tanking should happen at the roster construction level. Players and coaches should try to win every game.

Yes, teams do it. Have always hated it.

Players also might feel frustrated with regular losses and might mail it in. That's understandable.
 
Bam has the same injury on the 29th of November. Surgery December 7th of ‘21 and played his next game on January 17th
 
Three to six months: either half the season or nearly all the season. The team needs to make a trade, pronto.

I hate tanking, always have. Why play or watch a team play, if they are not trying to win?

Yah just read 3-6 months too.. I thought this was a "weeks" injury, not the whole season lol.

I just feel like Vlade's bad moves were soooooo bad, vs McNair who was just kind of passive/couldn't balance a roster.

But we're already agreeing about Vivek, I'll shoot you an olive branch: McNair and Vlade were both bad GMs.

Hopefully Perry does better, but considering we're stuck with the same moron owner, I'm sure we'll see the same kind of bad moves this franchise has been making no matter who is "in charge" of the FO.
 
A silver lining- Moses Moody had the same injury and surgery. He credited the rehab process on his fixed 3 point shot.

In the early '60s, the Detroit Lions had a quarterback named Earl Morrall. He was pretty good, but his passes were always a little wobbly in the air. One offseason, he cut off the tip of his big toe mowing the lawn. When he came back to training camp, the wobble was gone.

Not that I care enough to even bother discussing it but I did find it amusing that Carmichael Dave mentioned today the LaVine trade could be judged worse than the Bagley draft.

I also wanted to say I am not Carmichael Dave for anyone wondering. Lol

That's just a doctor speculating on what "fully healed" means. Keegan can and likely will be cleared to play in a few weeks, and it's even better that this happened in preseason because the actual season still has another week before it officially begins and games actually count. It can honestly be 4-5 weeks from today
