Keegan “KEEGAN MURRAY” Murray

2023: Sets the benchmark for rookie 3pt shooting (206 3pm / 501 3pa = 41.1% )
2024: Elite defender, increases assists by 40% while dropping TO%, shoots 50% more free throws, bump in FT% from 76.5% to 83.1%
2025: ?
Got to be excited about the young defensive talent Monte's managed to put around Fox/Sabonis/Monk. Keegan/Keon and hopefully Carter are pretty much the exact archetype of guys you'd want to surround your offensive stars with. And as we just saw with Boston, having a squad full of defensive dynamo's is incredibly important.

Let’s hope he can find his shooting stroke. Through 3 games he 12.5% from 3 after having a subpar year last year
Keegan shoots with his legs spread apart, the right foot a little ahead of the left. This year, I think the stance looks a little more square. Since he has only hit one so far, there are no highlights to confirm. I will check it out at the next game.

I think the amount he bulked up and muscle he added has messed with his 3 a bit. It’s so much about muscle memory and when you gain that much muscle I can imagine it might throw it off a little.

I would also be curious to know if his form has changed. It has seemed flatter the last 2 seasons to me vs the rookie year.

Then again, it’s preseason so maybe it will just take a few games to shake off the rust.

His shot was definitely flatter last year, compared to his rookie season. I and a few other posters commented on it.

yeah when he misses it is usually because his shot is too flat .

Keegan was 5-11 from three. The stance looked more like his rookie season, with the right foot noticeably forward. The arch was a little higher, as well.

that’s interesting. I naturally shoot with my right foot probably 8 inches in front of my left. When I square up I don’t feel like I have as much power on the shot
