Justin Williams

Corliss hasn't been available in the games since Musselman realized Justin Williams is actually part of the Kings...

;)
From what I hear, he also was a little banged up, so maybe that was Muss's excuse. Although Corliss is a great competitor and wants to play...it would be pretty cool if he told the coach to let Justin play if Muss was going to bring Corliss in. While it's not cool to not listen to your coach...who exactly listens to Muss anyways?

I'm sorry I'm not a big fan of BSers who don't walk their talk and Muss is definately not. He also showed very clearily by not following through with his DUI punishment that Muss is a Wuss! ;-)

I really cannot tell if Williams is our PF here, but it's somewhat irrelevant because SAR and Williams are about the same size, but Williams is way more hungry and athletic so I really see him as a PF. He still is very very raw offensively. Not just in his shot, but having no post moves I've seen yet. The guy is definately a Wallace type in how he patrols on Defense and his timing and athletism is something you really cannot teach. If he fills out a bit more and we show him the $ and he has the confidence, I really like his future!!!! :D

I like SAR and Williams together in the back court. They seem to have some synergy together, but I feel the same could be said of Miller due to his great passing. I don't want to put too much pressure on the kid...but does anyone else think we found a diamond in the rough and Justin is our PF of the future? I know he needs to learn a lot and put on as much muscle as possible, but the guy has the skills that's for sure! ;)

I wouldnt mind having a no offense all D PF like Williams....He even prides himself on doing the dirty work.

Just means more shots for Martin, Artest, and the other guys who are good offensively.

Well, I think thats a no-brainer that everyone on this forum can agree upon.

Course Muss is just barely figuring this out at the end of the season.

Right. And if there is anything we lack offensively it is our inability to crash the boards. Williams does just that. And you can always use him for an occasional alley-oop to get the crowd going.

Tonight Justin yielded his position as the most prolific rebounder per 48 minutes in the NBA. He is now in 2nd place, a tad behind bench PF Reggie Evans of Denver.

On the other hand, he also rose to 28th in the NBA for blocked shots per 48 minutes, just ahead of Dalembert, Mutumbo, Gasol, Ben Wallace and Elton Brand.

Obviously it's a bad thing for us to leave him in for much over 20 minutes this season, but 15 minutes a game would be great.

Muss: please play the youngsters, just not so much that we win.
