Just so we are clear....

He deserves to be an all-star.

Know that he will let you down in the end. I will enjoy the good when I can since he's very talented.

Just so we are clear...Demarcus is absolutely a superstar player. Offensively he has the most well rounded skill set of any big man since Olajuwon. I dont think there has ever been a guy that size that could grab a defensive rebound and dribble the ball all the way down the court for a layup/dunk. Defensively i think hes decent although not a game changer and wont make any all defensive teams. Cousins is the best center in the league. Its getting to the point where arguing against it sounds silly. However, one superstar player does not a good team make.

can you do me a favor and share the winners of the world series, super bowl, and nba championship for, i dunno, the next ten years? maybe throw in the stanley cup and the kentucky derby, if you're feelin' frisky? i want to get all of my bets in order so that my wife and i can enjoy an extremely early retirement...

no? oh... you can't predict the future, you say? well, that's a shame. here i was thinking that the kings should just trade demarcus cousins while his value is so high, since you KNOW that he's going to let us all down in the end...

Reasonable analysis of the facts rule. I am always amazed at the arrogance of someone who can dismiss the input of intelligent people as if he/she knows more. It is disturbingly common.

I already said IMO earlier. I don't know you guys from Adam or your basketball knowledge. All I know is from my 46 years of watching the game.

We just disagree. I don't have to like every player you do. I do love the Kings and nooooobody will ever change that.

He just rubs me the wrong way.

Know that every last poster who's come in here and made ridiculous prognostications about how Cuz will fail as a player and/or a human being have been wrong. Every last one of them. They've all disappeared back into the holes from which they came, which I'm sure you will also do in due time.

and you rub me the wrong way. but i'm not about to claim that i KNOW you're going to let this forum down in the end... because i simply don't know that. you're welcome to have an unpopular opinion about demarcus cousins, but you're going to face considerable resistance when you make absolutist claims about what a burgeoning 23-year-old superstar cannot do...

Okay, back to the topic at hand ... I'm continually pleasantly surprised by the number of opponents who come out after playing DFC and state how good he is and how he should definitely be an All-Star. It's not just us any more; the league is sitting up and taking notice. I'm not even going to bother with the naysayers any more. I'm sure I-true believes what he's posting. I'm also sure that Demarcus is going to prove him - and all the others who still don't believe - wrong. At this point, that's really good enough for me.

GO KINGS!

Webber was more athletic but was never really a high flyer, more of a power dunker, Cousins is more than capable of throwing down some power dunks. Skill wise they are very similar though, both have vacuums for hands, great handle for big men, passing, mid range jumpers and both Webber like Cousins is solid in the post but not great(Webb never really had an array of moves other than a half hook, like current Cousins, although he is starting to show more and has time to improve).

I didn't see much of Malone, but from what I have seen he reminds me more of a more skilled Blake Griffin.

Malone played 19 years in the NBA, and except for his first year, and his last year, he averaged over 20 points a game every year. His nick name was the Mailman, and he got that name by being able to run the floor and deliver the basket, usually on a feed from Mr. Stockton. Malone was an entirely different player later in his career than when he first came into the league. When he entered, he was a lot leaner, and a very good athlete. Later in his career, after he started to look like Hercules, he wasn't quite as athletic, but he was far more skilled than when he came into the league. When he first came into the league, he was a terrible free throw shooter, and had no face up game at all. He became very good at both those things. Right now, comparing Griffin to Malone is an insult to Malone, who is, in my humble opinion, the greatest PF to ever set foot on a basketball court. Some would argue that Duncan is, but Duncan played a lot of center in his career. Two entirely different kind of players. Doesn't matter, both will reside in the HOF.

I am officially on the Cousins for All star band wagon. He is living up to his massive potential on the court, including his dealing with his own emotions.
Won another over to the darkside.

BTW= While I still think Cousin is the better player, Favors is a special talent who ought to be around for awhile.
