I didn't have any unreasonable expectations of this team, so I am not disappointed with the talent level per se. However, there are many things going on during games that have not made much sense to me with regard to the rotations of Paul Westphal. Playing Head and Wright so much is a loosing effort. Neither of those players belongs on a pro roster, let alone getting starter minutes. Head has completely lost his 3 point shot. It looks like he is chucking rocks into the lake when he shoots. Wright comes off the bench way too often, and usually fouls someone, turns the ball over, or forces a horrible shot. He just isnt a very good player, yet he gets a ton of minutes nonetheless. As for playing JT at the 3 position, I think I agree with most here in saying HUH? That really makes little or no sense at all. JT is a 4/5, not a 3. So you see the combination of all these questionable calls by PW are what has people shaking their heads and wondering what is going on. I am pretty certain that Donte Greene can still play basketball, and that he is not injured. It makes little sense to bench him for what appear to be punitive reasons. In the last game, Greene came in for less than one minute! Then he went back to the bench? WTF was that? It just doesnt add up! So I understand the angst from the fans, but I dont think anyone here believes that this team is any more than a 30-35 game winner with some talent to build on for the future. I think the Kings are at least one draft and 2 free agent signings away from being a decent team that can eek into the playoffs. They have some pieces, but not enough to compete night in and night out. I just wish they would put their best 5 players on the court more often and run some plays to get open shots. OH, and start making their shots too! The shooters the Kings do have are shooting horribly early this season! I have seen way too many wide open shots that are not falling! I just hope the Kings continue to build on what they got and the fans dont totally tune them out while they continue to grow.
