Jonny Flynn

Kingsin07

G-League
It could be Jonny Flynn. Swagger, charisma, leadership....all things the Kings lack.

This is going to be the most interesting, and potentially ego-crushing draft if Flynn goes ahead of Rubio and the Kings are the team to pass him up.

I'm new so what the hell do I know, but I agree than Flynn seems more the type that's out for the team than himself, and a consistent worker. With a friend on the team in Greene, I would think that would give the team some good cohesion. What are some examples anyone knows of where two or more players from college wound up on the same NBA team? Was it successful, or no impact?

Being new to the board doesn't measure your IQ ;)

I like Flynn. Wouldn't be upset at all if I heard his name called at #4

Off the top of my head:

Maggette and Brand = lottery

Hmm, I'm sure there's more examples, but it's a start. However, I don't know how much stock you can put into their chemistry, they only played one year together, so at this point Greene has more chemistry with our entire roster. Might be different if they had been at school together 3-4 years.

The things that bother me about Flynn though is that he's not going to add much (if at all) defensively and he's not particularly exceptional at anything.

i've been wanting flynn since we got the 4th pick but now i'm starting to go toward evans i like the big pg with good ball skills and defense

I like Flynn more then Evans after watching some highlight vids (so take my opinion with a grain of salt :p )

It seems like despite the size difference, lil Flynn is a far stronger finisher then Evans, who seems like he uses his length to softly lay it in...Something that may not work so well in the pros. Flynn has got ups, and seems to use them. There was one NASTY in game dunk where he straight up t-bagged a guy.

I like Flynn. Seems to be way more of a team player then Jennings, more of a passer then Evans, and way way way waaaaaay more athletic then Rubio. Only issue is that his ceiling seems a bit lower then those other players. But still, a safe pick that could also be a great one.

I would not mind the Kings grabbing up Flynn but I would rather the Kings trade down a couple picks, so we can get some more in return. Maybe a another late draft pick or something.

unfortunitly this doesnt seem to be the draft were you can safely trade down and expect to land the player you want... all the picks starting at 4-10 are all the same...

I dont think anyone knows, who wants who at this point.

If Petrie wants a player he'll just draft him at 4
