Not a big fan of john hollinger, but this was on espn.com under his "PER Diem" article. I copied and pasted the section of interest because it was part of the whole insider thing and didn't know if the link would work if I posted it.......
Moderator Note: it it illegal to post the substance of ESPN Insider articles here as that is a pay service. Several different people posted this article, and we deleted those threads. But since it is a Kings related topic, and it keeps on cropping back up, I'm stepping in here -- this is the summary of Hollinger's proposal:
So...there. That was the substance of the Kings related part of that article. If you want to discuss it, do it here. If you are tempted to post that article again, hopefully you will check in here first.

But since it is a Kings related topic, and it keeps on cropping back up, I'm stepping in here -- this is the summary of Hollinger's proposal:
1) Hornets need to shed $3.33mil in salary to get under the tax threshhold
2) Kings have $4.15mil in cap room to absorb salaries
3) Kings trade Andres Nocioni + Kenny Thomas for Darius Songaila, James Posey, Mo Petersen & Hilton Armstrong
4) Hollinger then wisely suggests that maybe just maybe the Hornets would have to throw in cash or a first rounder (ya think?), or possibly Darren Collison
5) he suggests an alternate where its Beno instead of Noc, and Devin Brown instead of Armstrong
6) he suggests another alternate where Kenny Thomas and James Posey are left out of the deal (amazing that he figured out want to keep our cap space this summer)
7) in all of the deals he notes that we would likely have to cut Sean May, which of course could crash the local fast food economy
So...there. That was the substance of the Kings related part of that article. If you want to discuss it, do it here. If you are tempted to post that article again, hopefully you will check in here first.
