Jim Jackson just doesn't get it....

The current thread does not address the real issue here. JJ has been on 4-5 teams in the past 3 years. A total of what, 8+ teams in 11 years?

Sure he is agressive defender at the 2-3. Sure he can make some 3's. But it has become obvious his positives in no way make up for hi negatives. And not on the court but rather his presence in the locker room and on the bench.

Now he disagrees with the reasons behind the Rockets dumping, err, trading him to the Hornets. Who cares? It just points up his attitude that it is always someone elses fault, not his. But I guess he never sees the forest for a few big trees.

He more than anyone put the Kings rightfully so at the top of the old Pacific Division and enabled them to dominate most teams and lead the league in opponents FG%. At Houston, he disagreed with the Coaches use of him as he started for quite awhile then was relegated to the bench. Why? Same ole same ole JJ. Attitude and mouth. It goes back to his first years in Dallas.

It's too bad. He really can contribute on the court. But it takes more than that on the elite teams and he just doesn't get it.

The Suns will be his 11th team since entering the NBA in 1992. I think unlike NO Pheonix knows what they are getting for better and worse.

At this point, JJax should just shut his trap and play basketball. I lobbied in favor of his position in not reporting and willingly giving up his salary without complaining too much about it because if he was willing to forfeit that amount of money not to play basketball anymore, more power to him. If a guy wants to take a stand and is willing to live with the consequences, I see nothing terribly wrong with his actions in this context.

But now that JJax is coming out and complaining, he's really taking any luster off the shine on his deeds. He got what he wanted, and now he's out whining about the organization that traded him --- this is a business, JJax. As others pointed out, you knew you could get traded, knew you didn't have to be consulted, and yet you are whining about it after the fact. Weak.

Ya know it could be that adding JJ and his sterling persona to the locker room could be more of a curse than a blessing for the Suns. Sure it's nice to play for a top contender but if he is not happy with his PT, well Pheonix may regret that trade.

Word.

I was arguably the most vocal person on this board in support of JJ.

Well, JJ - I just lost all respect for you. You could have simply gone to Phoenix, shut up, and played. Instead, you chose to open your mouth and dump on the Rockets when you got exactly what you wanted - and possibly even more. Shame on you... and shame on me for buying into your act.

I know, bdouble013... I really thought he was better than that. Apparently, he just doesn't know when to shut up. Here he is - on the most favored team in the league - and he has to take a parting shot at the Rockets? Why? What could it possibly benefit him?

...sigh...

Pheonix better be sold on JJ beceause I doubt if any is likely to ever trade for JJ again so they are prety much stuck with his contract for it's duration. Any one know what Jj has left on it?

According to Patricia Bender's website, his contract expires next year but it doesn't state what the options are, maybe because she doesn't know yet. Contracts typically appear for players on the same day a trade is made, which...I don't know HOW she does that!

Anyway, what disappointing news about Jackson, but certainly this answers some questions a few of us have posed lately, namely WTF is wrong with JJ! Now we know...he's an arse. Oh well, like 4Cwebb stated (and I thought also), just shut up and play. He likely won't be going anywhere else very soon, or at all. Like I said before, this should be JJ's last hoorah, so sad.

Never liked him and never will......

There was something about him that rubbed me the wrong way from the start although he played for the Kings.

Just play bball and shut up!!

i actually liked jim due to the fact he helped us and the fact that i was 14 and didnt know ne better...

but now his picking up on his old habits again which i dun think he can ever get away from as its just him whose doing this to himself...

if he keeps this behaviour up i rekon the suns should drop him and others teams shouldnt pick him up... but it wont happen cuz his a good player on the court...

ACT UR AGE JIMMY!!!
