I just saw the highlights on sportscenter. Dooling ran after Allen when they got ejected, luckily someone grabbed him or it would have got even uglier. I haven't seen a good fight in a while.

Violet Palmer did a bad job on this. Dooling shoved Ray down before her eyes and there were no players to block her view. If she blew the whistle at that point and went by the players immediately, the fight wouldn't happen. After the fight happened they gave Dooling a flagrant foul. What's up with that? Why don't you blow your whistle when the foul happened?

Just before this, Dooling hit Ray on the face after Ray secured the defensive rebound and looking around. It may not be intentional but that was the thing started the whole thing. Then Ray gave him a bump on the chest on the other side of the floor, and two seconds later, this happened.

Very unfortunate for us, but I don't think we would beat Miami anyways even with Ray on the floor.

All in all, not a bad NBA fight. Still wish Dooling had found Ray Ray in the tunnel.

Then again, I am a fan of train wreck T.V. ;)

There's the real problem. Violet Palmer should NOT be officiating. Period.

PORTLAND -- Orlando Magic guard Keyon Dooling was suspended five games for fighting with Seattle guard Ray Allen on Wednesday.

After the brawl spilled into the courtside seats and each player was ejected in the second quarter of the Magic's loss, Dooling tried to confront Allen near the Sonics' locker room. Dooling was restrained in time. Allen received a 3-game suspension.

On Thursday, the Magic activated rookie Travis Diener to play in tonight's game against the Portland Trail Blazers.

hm.

i'm kinda surprised that the suspension wasn't more substantial. you'd think that after last season's brawl the nba might tighten up their punishments for fighting, etc. 5 games is entirely enough, but the nba does have a penchant for overreacting to situations like this, especially after last season's damage was done.
